I have been having a lot of fun with this Amon list

Amon
Gaurdian
Castigator
Revenger
Devout
6 Choir
6 Choir

Gives me two nodes and two heavy's. Synergy cast and upkept on turn one the rest of the game. I usually start the synergy machine with Choir chant plus 2. Give each jack a focus for charges then let the revenger lead off charging at MAT 9 giving my next charging jack MAT 8 and so on. Castigator is thier to clear out light infantry. Either of my heavy's can engage infantry then trample the following turn into the enemy castor and going last with synergy it's usaully any thing but ones on the two hit and automatic kills.

I went crazy trying to get Amon to work back when I was
a newbie. I totally sucked at him. It didn't help that my
regular opponents were all experienced gamers.

So what have you brought low with this list? I seem to
recall getting trashed pretty regularly by Sorscha, Vlad,
and Darius.

How do you keep Amon far enough forward to keep things
in CTRL, and yet far enough back to keep him safe?

Moving Amon generally depends on how aggressive your opponent is. If I go first I allocate all but two focus cast synergy then charge for nine to the position I want.
Once everything is stuck in keep one of your choirs behind your jacks to chant and one choir as a cheap tie up unit with thier reach. Sometimes I use the choir to block charge lanes to Amon also if they are a faster army. Amon is definatley not for beginers btw. I usually like to camp him inside difficult terrain to prevent charges also.

All jacks also have two attacks to increase the synergy odds to hit. 3 out of the four jacks also have reach and with the choir are Mat 7 and become 9 with free strikes for things that want to try to run past or unengage to go after my caster. Against Sorscha I would stay aggressive and move forward but keep my jacks in a line for a solid shield with Choir behind them to further block line of site to Amon. All my jacks are armor 19 with the Devout being a 18 in case you have to survive her feat turn. Sand blast would be use more often of course against her force.

Yeah, that first turn charge is almost essential to getting into meditative stance
at a useful moment. It took me months to figure that out.

I like him at 750. It's a crutch to include more heavies since I have very
little warjack spam available to me (2 Revengers and 2 Dervishes at the
moment). 750 allows me to field 3 choir, a reclaimer, and some other kind
of unit depending on my mood (TFG + UA or Zealots + MB depending on
points).

How do your Darius fights go? I always forget about things like Crack the
Whip and trip and lots of other things that Amon can do... Darius's crane
gives me all sorts of fits trying to outmaneuver him.
