Hi, I live in Raleigh. Classes have meant that I don't play as much as I used to, but there are three places that play a lot. I've played most my games in durham at SciFi Genre. They're holding a 1250 tournament this sunday and every tuesday is their 40k night. They have a forum, but there's a bit of silliness going on on it right now. If you just post an account saying you're looking for a game, one can be arranged with you. http://z6.invisionfree.com/Scifi_Genre_Forums/index.php?showforum=10

In North Raleigh there's an older crowd of gamers who play at a place called Hobby Masters. They play some pretty big Apocalypse games. Join the Yahoo Group KillingTimeMinatureWargaming if you're interested.

In Cary there's a place called All Fun and Games. If you go to the store or call you can get on an email list that will allow you to arrange games. Otherwise I think their open gaming is on Mondays. I'm not 100% sure as my class schedule has never allowed me to go.

I live in the triangle, and like lifeafter, I mostly play at SciFi Genre. It's not a big store, but it has a pretty good group of regular gamers. Open gaming is on Tuesday nights.

I live in Charlotte, but I've been by All Fun and Games in Cary. They have a pretty big gaming room in the back.

I think there is a place or two in the Greenville area if I'm not mistaken.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I go to school in Raleigh. Haven't really had the time or motivation to drive out and check out these gaming places but now that I've almost got a viable army I might as well check it out.

We atlanta guys go to tournaments up in Gastonia pretty often, there's actually one this weekend.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).
