The texture and the armor chipping are great. Theface is also good.

It does look a bit like the Ultraforge Plague Lord, but that's a compliment. In fact, having both in the same army would have a cool effect. MiniMe and MaxiMe!

If this is your first sculpt, you are bound for great things.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Thanks for the kind words ^_^.

The ultraforge plague lord was the basis of this one. I wanted to see if I could get similar results and just really sit down to learn how to use the stuff.

WOW! This is a great start into sculpting... and very flattering to us here at Ultraforge! I would agree that you are bound for great things. Once you get a feel for sculpting and displacing your material it is really just about tools, a few new techniques and a lot of practice... but you are well on your way.

It looks like you are using Fimo which is a good choice but very delicate. I personally love using it becuase it is so quick to 'fire' and keep sculpting. You got some great smoothness in the lens area. I use a small drybrush (short haired thick brush) to smooth areas out. You basicaly just 'paint' the area smooth. Try it out and I think you'll like the results.

Also, for the small boils and bumps I use a mixture of glue and green acrylic paint (about 50/50) and simply 'dot' it on the mini. If you make a small dot with a toothpick or paper clip the surface tension will make it a perfectly round bump. For larger bumps you can just add another bump of paint on top an already dry bump. I think you will really love this method. I use it for all my rivets, boils, etc. Goes well with Fimo becuase it sticks right to the mini and there is no risk of it falling off.

I hope to see this mini painted up. Please let me know if you get a chance.
