I have only managed to skim the careers as of yet but I have found an oddity.
In the psyker section it states that if you have ten or more powers in a dicipline you are considered a master and can subtract 5 from all PT targets.
The oddity I fins is that by adding upp all the psykic powers granted by the Imperial psyker careers more active path it seems you can only ever get nine powers.
This is following Scholar Materium -> Scholar Empyrean path, the alternate path gets even fewer psykic powers.
There are 8 levels and if I have them correct, minor psykic power/psykic power...
first: 1/0, second: 3/0, third 4/0. Here the paths split and are oddly in the wrong order.
Fourth: 2/1, fifth: 2/2, sixth: 3/2, seventh; 3/2, eighth: 4/2.
I get that to 22 minor powers and 9 discipline powers.
The alternate path only gives 8/3 but then it is a considerably more combat oriented path.
Thus my question is... is there alternate ways for a psyker to get discipline powers not listed on the advance scheme that will count towards this and is this path one that will not imediatelly drop the Inquisition down on his lap in 2 seconds flat (ie not a daemonic pact)?

Good question, I'll take a look when I get home tonight and see if I can dig something up. Sure, the one day I don't bring the rule book to work is the one day someone asks a question.
haha

You get free psychic powers when you purchase the Psy
Rating Talent.
Scolar Materium
Psy Rating 3 1 Power in a discipline
Psychic Power 2 powers
Scholar Medicae (flipped in the book I might add)
Psy Rating 4 half your will bonuses in powers ina discipline (probably 2) So that's 4 powers
Psychic Power twice = 6 total
Scholar Arcanum
Psychic Power twice = 8 total
Scholar Obscurus
Psy Rating 5 (+ will bonus) = 10
PSychic Power twice = 12
And so on...

Aye, just figured it out, my bad as I asumed +1 psy was more or less the same thing as +1 mag in WHFRPG.
It will be interesting to see how psykers develop.

Yeah, Malfred beat me to it. It is all about the psyrating and will bonus really.
