OK, this is one of those times I tossed out some ideas on the modeling board and ended up talking myself into trying it. But I've never played nids before.

Genestealer Cult (counts as Tyranids)

Genestealers=genestealers (so far so good)
Cultists=Hormagaunts
Hybrids=Termagaunts
Human Waves=Ripper swarms (3 or more humans on a base)
Omega Psyker=Zoanthrope

These units would have to be in the army list.

Any other nid stuff can be repped or tyranid models can be used.

With this in mind, what is the best way to make a workable 'nid army that includes as many of these units as possible?

And ideas?

Cultists should probably be Spine-gaunts. Short ranged weapons, cheap and plentiful.

One guy I know thought about using Inq scale stealers as first generation Genestealers and using Carnifex or Lictor rules.

Wow, crazy. I had a really similar idea the other day.

Broodlords = Patriarchs.

The idea I had for a Tyranid army would be based off the genestealers' ability to integrate into the human genome. So, I was thinking a Space Marine modeled with appropriate niddy appendages would be a kickass Broodlord.

Spinegaunts as Cultists, as has already been mentioned.

Fexes are the hard bit. Considering how very necessary they are to any Nid army I've read about... (I don't actually play Nids, either... not yet, anyway).

Fexes could just be fexes. But, like, with an urban camo feel, or somesuch. More like the 'actual' Godzilla.
