I am going to play in an RTT tomorrow at Rhubarb Games in Orlando. It is a 3 game, 1850 point RTT. I am having trouble deciding what army to play, so I will leave it up to the Dakka community!

Since I will write up Batreps afterward, the question is….what 1850 point army should I play?

Do you want to win or do you want to have fun? I tend to have more fun with my Eldar but I have a better record with my Tyranids.

I voted Chaos. They're probably balanced enough while at the same time being strong. That and I didn't like the other choices.

You do not know me very well, but I should win with any list I take.

No one ever uses the little bug nids...bring them. On the other hand, no one ever brings deamon hunters either so they would be just as good.

That's why I voted for Daemonhunters.

It looks like I might have to dig up my Demon Hunters.

I've played your demon hunters. I like the list quite a bit actually (grrr...calidus eating my farseer) - Probably can't count on you having horrible luck deepstriking again so I'll just stay home. Good luck w/ your games.

Last time you talked me into playing my Godzilla Nids was at an RTT at Game Empire in San Diego. Sure, I won all 3 games, but they killed me so bad in my soft scores I think you ended up winning overall. But I guess that was part of your diabolical scheme.

So, do to popular demand I took my Demon Hunters. I am really rusty at playing them (I forgot to use word in your ear in 2 games) and of all of my armies, they are painted the worst. But what can I do…the people have spoken.

I changed it around a bit. I normally take just a Brother Captain, and flesh out my GK squads a little more, but I thought I would try the Grand Master. Also I normally equip my Storm Troopers with either 2 Plasma Guns and 2 Melta Guns, but I thought I would take a Melta/Flamer combo to combat both hordes and vehicles.

My list is really a shooting list with the ablity to send a lot of strength 5-6 AP4 shooting down range. The sweet spot of my army is around 30”-36” so shrouding will help protect from high strength, high AP weaponry.
