For anyone who's interested in the precise contents of these special editions and prices, I have posted all the confirmed details on my blogsite here:-

These ones are coming out on the 12th April but you can put your advance order in now.

Wood Elf box seems kinda weak. I know Treekin aren't cheap, but that' just a handful of models for some serious cash.

City Fight - 0-0-0
Planetstrike - 0-0-1
Apocolypse - 4-2-1

Looks like just a repackaging (or bundling) of what we already have. I'd be far more interested if the (for instance) Orc War Boss was special for the 25th.

So what exactly is special about these armies? I can't see any discount, and they haven't shown any special edition models in them either. Are they just boxing up stuff thats not selling great and putting a sticker on the box?

Maybe you get a slice of cake with every set you buy?

"Marion! For Gods sake, you're going to die!"
"Ah, but then I'll wake up in a magical fantasy world, filled with virgins!"
"You mean Games Workshop?" Mongrels

Hmmm, I just don't see the point of these. Unless someone actually needs everything in those boxes, they aren't a deal. They are less 'special' than your average battleforce. Certainly less than the Armageddon deals. My 'retailer sense' is tingling. I smell thousands of dollars of lead sitting on my shelf for a couple of years. I'll pass on these except for special orders, at my shops.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.
