Just a quick question, deamons in the new Chaos Codex. Do they still suffer from instability, I could not see it anywhere? If not awsome!!!

No instability for daemons.

Nope, just Fearless troops that deepstrike + assault off of an icon.

They're also cheap (it's amazing how those extra couple of points builds up over ten or twenty models).

Not as good as the old, not as much flavor but no instability and cheaper.

Additionally they dont use upp force organisation slots meening the old "if points dont matter what army would win" has a new contender for impossible to beat

The question as always is are they worth their points?

In short GW rulings are void!

Whether they are worth their points will depend on a host of variables, including the other elements in the army, the mission being played, the terrain being used, and skill of the players.

Naturally, but would you take them to an official GW tournament?

NEVER!!

They are quite good against IG and Tau, but agains MEQ they are very often a waste of points that you could have used much better on other places.

I used to be of the opinion that Daemons were a waste of time. But now that I've played with and against them in tournament settings I can see that they do have their place.

The later in the game they arrive - the more impact they can make. Once the forces are close to each other it is a simple matter to summon them and have them immediately charge. Now that they can also claim objectives they can also throw a wrench into enemy mission plans.

My dice were totally on fire, but 1 tournament game against Necrons I had 12 lesser demonettes chew through 2 tomb spyders, 20 warriors, 2 heavy destroyers and then only start to lose any models when they were counter charged by lord + flayed ones. Was a happy game with a LOT of dice rolling to brute force those robots to death. No power weapons, no rending claws, just dice.

Yeah, big units are, I think, probably the best way to take them. They never run, so your opponent has to deal a lot of wounds to get rid of them. Ten guys are only 130pts, which is pretty darn cheap when compared to marines with (mandatory) upgrades, and considering that they don't need their own transport to get to the enemy.
