SO! I recently started SOB's and i've got quite a few models, but i'm not sure what tactics will grab me some wins. I know that SOB's are very lacking in the close combat department...
Heres what I have
Inquisitor Lord + henchmen
Inquisitor
Battle Sisters x20
Seraphim x10
Sister Repentia X8 + Mistress
Culexus Assassin x1
Callidus Assassin x1
Stormtroopers x10
Exorcist x2
Leman Russ x1
Immolator x1
Guardsmen x40
I've played up to a 1500 point game with them already but I did alot of things wrong.
So how do you think I should handle my 1500 team setup, I can always buy more too.

You have a good core.
Inquisitors aren't that good.
Repentia aren't either.
An assassin is nice, just remember you need a inq.
If you can bring a hellhound, bring that instead of a immolator. It's the wrong hull, but you can convert it over.
I'll give you a relatively easy list, it's a copy from my buddies stjohn. He can add more if he wants to.

Here's a idea for you. I tried to make a decent inquisitor unit to counterattack with.
Normally people run the upgraded Superior on the Seraphim, I don't see the point to it myself.
Besides that, you have IG squads for anti-tank fire.
The Canoness should sit with the IG and keep them locked in place.
The inquisitor should be using his psychic powers every turn when possible. He's your main anti-psyker defense.
You should run your battle sisters squads out into midfield, where they excel. Support them with the Seraphim.
The IG infantry will knock out tanks, the 3 heavy tanks should knock out infantry.
WH are very flexible in what they can do.
The DH Inquisitor is there to give you first turn...he also has a psycannon. He can sit someplace and just fire away, it's nice to have his extra shots.
Choosing table edge and choosing to go first are both potential game winners.
I dropped the assassins primarily because you don't really need one with WH...

How common are psykers in your meta game? You could probably stand to drop a lot of the anti-psyker gear to save points. Also, I might drop some guard squads since Exorcists really excel at anti-tank, and you are not likely to see too terribly many at 1500 I think.
Also, double check the points and numbers of the Inq. Lord's retinue. You can only have 3 of each type. Also, Inquisitor Lords come standard with 3+, so you don't need carapace armor on them. In general, I don't really see what this squad wants to do. It isn't terribly shooty, and is really weighed down with too much stuff if it is meant to be. Plasma guardsmen are a good time though, especially with the sages for the reroll on get's hot misses.

I was working with the models as requested for the inquisitorial retinue. While it might not seem like much, my original Eldar (walking gunline with warlocks and farseers) got annihilated by an inquisitor with those powers. couldn't get my fortunes off, and my warlocks all got zapped...then my farseers. I almost had a good assault going, and I got chased away with the other power. It was...enlightening.
Not sure why you'd want the psycannon shooty inquisitor to lose his IC status and get shot dead with 1 lascannon.
Did you miss that?
