Hey all!

I'm just about to start off a Combat Patrol campaign at my local club, and I'm itching to start off with my new Biel-Tan Eldar!

I have all the Aspects (other than the Shining Spears [they are being ordered]) and 1 squad or Pathfinders/Rangers. Keep in mind that I'm doing a pure Aspect-no-vehicle list. So anything that is not an Aspect Warrior or has an armour value is out of the question (other than the Pathfinders).

We are allowed to have 2 list. So far I have come up with one list.

List 1:

Howling Banshees: 1 Exarch; Warshout, Executioner. 4 Banshees... 107 pts

Fire Dragons: 5 Dragons... 80pts

Dire Avengers: 6 Avengers... 72pts

Dark Reapers: 4 Reapers... 140pts

total = 399pts

So I need your help. What kind of a list should I make? What should I include? What units are best at this scale?

400 points? Don't include shooty units like dark reapers if you want people to play you.

CP is supposed to be fun, and dark reapers make it unfun for all the marine players (which is usually most of your opponents).

Just fyi, it's really hard to make serious list mistakes at 400 points because...at 400 points there aren't any serious lists.

Sure Combat Patrol is all fun and games... until you run into a pair of Land Speeder Tornadoes.... or a trio of Crisis Suits and their stealthed friends...

400pts is enough to get you thinking, that is for sure.

First rule of Eldar combat patrol: Warp Spiders rule combat patrol. Take the withdraw exarch and 6 regular guys, and you can roll pretty much anybody else's army.
