Bounding Assault Marine

Looking for any feedback/advice from players that have used this LRC config. (or something similar) to enough positive effect to justify it's point cost in a vanilla marine list.

Master of Sanctity w/ term. armor, storm bolter @130 points
Term. Assault 1x7 w/ thunderhammer & storm shield x4, pair of lightning claws x3 @280 points
LRC w/ smoke @268 points

Yes, its a great idea.
Better still is adding a chaplain with termie armor and a Thunder hammer with Ad. Mantel. Nasty...

Tactics I use is to hide the Land raider first turn. This is a flanking unit so don't run it up the center. You will need to run other tanks to help over load the amount of fire this unit will attract.

A good following unit to put behind the Raider is a full 10 man assault squad. Use the Raider to block LOS to the unit and the marines will help fend off any fast units that try to assault the Raider first. Or get meltaguns in close from attack bikes, bikes other types of melta weapons.

What else to you plan on running in the list?
What traits if at all?

right behind you...

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me, personally I'd ditch the Thunderhammers tho, the whole Init 1 just like a pwer fist is kinda a turn off for me, seeing as having a low Init in cc against anyone with a power weapon or 3+ attacks (Stiking Ccorpions anyone?) could end your Termies before they get to land a blow, unless you could somehow raise their Init (aside from dropping frag grenades onto units in cover when charging I know of none). Defianately a go on the ILC too, specially against those meat-sheild type armies (IG, Orks, Guardians, 'nids) obvious issues against mech focused foes (non-vanilla SM w/6 dreadnaughts)

I like the thunderhammers in the unit, they make enemy characters run, and turn tanks into big coke cans (shaking the crew in addition to everything else). I don't know about putting them in a LR but if you want to try it, it can be nasty/surprising to the enemy. They don't have to be told exactly whats in the LR, it says that in the rules, so they may ignore it as many people do. However if your opponents guns seem magnetically locked on it i'd suggest dropping the termies out of it after movin up 12" there they will be close enough to be dangerous to your opponents gun line in a turn or two, and they may ttally forget about the LR. thats when you move it up and start hammering aways at his vulnerable units that may have plasma or small units with lascannons which could end up threatening you termies.

all in all using the LR in this way is about finesse, and also a bit of luck. Have fun, and crush all scum who oppose you.

Don't fight Tau (Railguns), Eldar or Dark Eldar (Lances), Tyranids (MC, Rending), Orks (lose 12 boys, roll 3 bricks and kill you anyway), IG (Lascannons, nothing to put your unit into so you get flashlighted to death), or SM (Lascannons, Plasma cannons, oh and SM Jump Troops with a Chaplain are alot less and will own your terminators).

Yep, fight Kroot Mercenaries and Demonhunters and you'll be just fine.

If you don't know why WH Seraphim will make you cry, maybe someone else will tell you.

I would suggest a 5:2, or 4:3 ratio of Lightning Claws:Thunderhammers. Just my 2 cents.
