Trying my hand for .

Cavalry and Chariots around the flanks, RBT and spearmen to cover the center, and Archmage to provide support where needed.

Good/Bad/Ugly?

Edit: Oh yes Angron I did shamelessly copy your idea about four RBTs...

I really disagree with the spearmen. 15 spearmen is sub-par, but 14 make it really worthless.
The only purpose for a spear block is to have full combat resolution and have 15 spears strikin before anything else happens, making at least 20 spearmen obligatory.

So the purpose of the spearmen is not to provide full on combat support, but to exploit gaps made by my other units in the enemy line. They are less of a decisive unit and more of a mop-up unit/guard for the RBT. If I could find the points to make room for more, I would. I totally agree with you. It's just I don't see a way right now.

Hrm, I don't know if it is cheese so much as disjointed. 4 RBTs will be very vulnerable to WM hunters. Consider that fliers will fly around terrain and probably give you 1 round of shooting max (maybe just fly behind) and then charge, killing 1 WM/round. Heck, even summoned zombies danseing in will tie them up.

You heavy hitters are the chariots and cav, but they are vulnerable to big shooting, magic, and getting bogged down. Unless they hang back with the spears, they have little static CR support. I guess the strategy is to frotal charge with the DPs and Chariots and flank with the reavers?

Where does the archmage go? How much magic do you expect to get through (or stop) with 6 PD and 4 DD?

I don't know, but I expect alot of the new VC lists will tear this up badly. Heck, even basic dwarves would be a mess. Handguns shoot cav, cannons blow up chariots, bolts/gyros/miners go after your WMs.....

This mage is illegal because he has two arcane items. I haven't been playing for very long, so I don't know if there's some errata that overrides this, but page 121 of the BRB says:

Only a Wizard can carry an arcane item and no character can carry more than one.
