Has anyone looked at the 2 sites lately?

if i read them correctly the necro is June 13th - 15th, 2008 http://thenecro.com/
Baltimore is June 14, 2008
http://gamesday.us.games-workshop.com/default.htm

Wow. Both are part of the same circuit and the same day. We were planning on going to both, but cant be in 2 places at once
Since Baltimore is closer guess thats where well be. Too bad to, wanted to go since last year.

The GT is not in June, just GD. So if you are going to circuit events, go to Necro.

GD is part of the circuit although not weighted as much. Doesnt matter it is insane imo to schedule them the same day

Sometimes you put events on certain days because that's when the space is available. I doubt either GW or the Necro wanted to bump on the same weekend, but it happens.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Yep, it is a shame they're both on the same weekend, but with loads of great events out there it can be tough to get the perfect schedule, particularly when you throw in the vagaries of hall/hotel availabilities and that other thing called "real life".

Fortunately though, they offer two considerably different things.

If you are a fiend for high-level competitive Warhammer or 40K and you want to play five (or more) games over a weekend, with a bunch of fun guys, then The Necro is the event for you. It is also held in last year's Warhammer circuit winner Jordan Braun's hometown of Orlando, which usually means he'll be there ready to take you on ; )

If you're more interested in getting in a few games, maybe picking up some Forgeworld, checking out the Golden Demons, and chatting with some UK Studio staff, then Games Day Baltimore will be the event for you.

Two events, to different interactions with "the" hobby, both a lot of fun.

Cheers
