I usually show up to veteran nights(thursday) at the Bayshore GW, and I've just found out about The Comic Shoppe after I noticed they had an APOC battle scheduled up on the events website so I went and checked it out. I showed up late and didn't get to play, but occupied myself with helping out a fellow Tau player. Everybody had a lot of fun(except for a marine player who had only terminators and like 7 dreads, which got devastated) and there's no doubt it going to happen again. They only got to turn 3 and so next time they'll be starting set up earlier to get the game finished(hopefully). It was about 12 000 a side too, and next time it should be bigger.
Unfortunately I live in the Kanata and I tend not to head all the way to the St. Laurent GW too often but I might have to start as they're the only ones nearby doing Hall of Heroes fun.
Anyways, if you live in or around Ottawa, give me a hollar.

Heaven's not a place where you go when you die: it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive, so live for the moment. |

I live in an igloo made out of it.
Edit: We're getting something like 30cm of the fluffy white stuff tonight. Getting to work is going to be a bitch.

An idea I had today while rearranging some snowbanks was to make an ice-world board out of snow. Build up a 6'x6' area, plane it flat, pebble it with ice, and then build snow terrain on it. Possibly build some snow benches around it too.
