I read all the earlier posts about this topic.
However I still was wondering if anyone has tried to have missing pieces replaced lately. Are they still not doing it at all?
I bought a brand new unopened Eldar army box and I am missing some of the sprues. The seller is pointless to contact.
He was not very good at communicating. SO should I call GW customer service?

Give it a try, you may get lucky.
It's not their responsibility to replace, but they've helped people in the past.

I will gripe about many of GW's business practices, but not their customer service.
I bought the Empire Army when it was released. The Helblaster box was missing a single crewman when I opened it- not a sprue, just a single part off a sprue.
I called GW and they sent me another entire Helblaster box, free of charge.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Too true, GW are usually very good at sorting out their own customer errors. There is however a rising tide of exploiters.
Leave the stuff on the spure, take the whole boxset to a GW store and just ignore where you got it. This likely isnt really the sellers fault either if the box was still unopened. as opposed to opened, looted and re-shrinkwrapped, but you would be able to tell the difference.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

While I've not had any problems with it recently, I know I used to love it when I was missing something, or got something wrong in a blister. I'd call it in, tell em what was wrong, and whoever packaged it inevitably decided it wasn't worth it to ship one tiny bit, and would throw in some small handful of random stuff. I got a door knocker, along with a bunch of other small stuff, once when a two-handed Dragon Ogre came with a one-handed weapon.

I own two shops that carry GW. I've not had any trouble at all getting replacements for bad pieces. It's been business as usual, with the standard "GW bends over backwards to make good on missing pieces." If someone bought a GW product from me, and is missing a sprue/bit, I just open up another box, get out the parts they need, and GW replaces the box for me, with no hassle at all.
When you say the seller was pointless to contact, and not good at communicating, was this an ebay sale? The one case I can see GW being less inclined to replace missing pieces is if the box has changed hands a couple of times, and being resold.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

I have always had a great experience with their customer service.
My CSM army box was missing 10 marines, I got 3 extra tank access sprues. The guy pulled all the info over the phone and sent me a new marine box. I didn't need the marine upgrade sprues, but he sent em anyways.
