Just for my own curiousity, I've wanted to know which ways the new ork armies can be taken. By this I mean which theme would you like to do the new orks in. I'm thining of both competitively and for fun, but please vote.

I think most people favor the KOS because it is so effective, but for whatever reason I like the Green Tide.

Ditto to Skaskull, Green Tide just feels more Orky to me.

last codex? super horde, 120 boyz, 60 grotz.

new codex? hybrid, tho i am partial to the dredbash. at lower points i run the bash. at 1000 points the dredbash is quite fun to run.

im also partial to the deffwing, but not the crappy MAN list, i run a counts as deffwing, using actual deathwing rules, all nobz in mega armor, all those termies/

I voted other as I'm vaccilitating between a KoS army led by Wazzdakka, or Ghazghull...but it's not really KoS since I have tons of shooting.

I voted other as well. I will be playing deathskulls so they don't truly fit into any of these categories. There will be some Lootas and maybe some big guns, but Orks can't really be that shooty can they? So I will also have a battlewagon or two, and some koptas for support.

I just can't figure out if footsloggin or some trukks will be the best way to flesh out the troops portion of this list????

any ideas?

Never read Brothers of the Snake? Apparently 30 well equipped marines can stop 'em cold.

I really love the idea of a huge wave of bikes. The new models are just too sexy.

Thats why I'm buying bikes, trucks and lots more boys so I can play whatever I feel like on any particular day.

I believe I've played a different theme in each of my last 3 tournanments.

Mega Armour is just too cool, altho I don't know if you need a whole army of it.

I voted KOS as it is a lot of fun. Realistically, I suppose KOS should be all mounted or on bikes which mine is not as I run two units of Lootas.

KOS is fun to play and also very competitive due to the Trukk rules.

I voted KOS but I realy much prefer the ferral orks looks and personality. I run them like KOS lots of cyboars, squiggoths and such and found they are competive with that build. just call me snake bitin. lol

I voted wazdakka/warbiker horde. I just keep imagining a horde of bikers headed down the highway, with their colors flashing, then realizing they are 12 feet tall and green and that's when I wake up sweating..

at 9pts we orks did well right to the da end. even with 8pt bs 4 eldar black guardians.. cheess. now orks are 6pts i just keep the same list i just went from 80 orks to 120 in a 1500pt list and never look back.

yea I like Yorks comment. Basically The tide of green is the way to go right now. The KOS had is scrotum removed. I won two tourneys and went one a 27 game winning spree with the KOS at the beginning of 4th Ed. but now the Choppas no longer negate good armor so there is no way to make less than a 20 boy mob effective against heavily armored armies ie beakies...
