I finally finished painting my first of the new style or ork trukks. I didn't use all the parts, because my trukks are pretty stock, just added riggers and ram and your good to go. The other bits will be used to bulk up my existing trukks to try and get them inline size wise with this thing.

Note: The brown dirt on the wheels and underside is not nearly as day glow as the flash makes it out to be. This can clearly be seen on the last three pics which did not use a flash. Wintertime lighting sucks for getting good pics.

Let me know what you think.

Okay, wow, I was wondering if the first pics were pre-dip and the second set post-dip. Yeah, the flash-less pics make them look good. The flash pics don't.

Nice job - have you got a Bad Moon theme going?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Looks good! You should really sneak a cowbell on there somewhere, though.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

in the future, you should use a neutral background and cover the glossy tabletop when you snap those pics.

it's the glare from the tabletop that is reflecting your flash on your tires. if your tires are washed that is why they are relecting the light back.

nice job on the models though, looks pretty slick to me (sorry, bad pun) lol

Give it more of a black wash to distinguish the details. Getting a nice flat black paint form a hobby store, loading the brush up, dipping it in water and washing it into place is my fav way to go about getting a metal effect. Best part is it ties all of the colors in together so that they blend into one another reducing the Painted-On feal of most minis. It looks like you did something like that already, but it still looks too polished for a machien of war let-alone an Ork vehicle.

I'll have to echo what MachineSlave said - a wash of black or dark brown would really dirty this up AND provide more contrast for you. Overall I am really liking it though. The more stripped down look is nice, and is a good way to get some more variety.

Oh, and drill out that big shoota barrel!
