What should a non-Nidzilla list look like? I've never put a list together for Tyranids and I'd like to try one.

Does this mean no MC? Or is there a specific flavor you are going for?

Not no MC's. I'd like to make it swarmy but still killy. A horde of gaunts and a few fexes I'd guess.

Allright. I'll give you two options, you go your way.

Remember this list is designed for decent casual use in 4th (Gojira is still king) but will be quite a bit better in 5th edition--tournament worthy IMO.

This is a combination of shooting and heavy assault. You can drop either to boost the army one way or the other.

The point in this list is overwhelming targets. Sure, everything is easy to kill.

Everything is also going to do serious damage to you, and the two HQ's have nasty bodyguards.

There are 2 good (not great) assault units to keep your carnifexes safe, and the gaunt broods will hurt anyone coming too close.

With scuttlers, infiltrate, flying, and long range spread around the army it's going to be a pain in the ass.

The Spinegaunts can either be a massive brood staying near the Warriors or Tyrant to count as a great, cheap scoring unit or they can scuttle up and tar the enemy on the front line.

The Zoanthropes can act as Synapse if you deploy in a spread out or flanking manner and tend to bleed Warriors to enemy fire (as I do) or you can gor for the Psychic Choir to try & force failed morale rolls against your tons of shooty attacks or even Stealer assaults.

Whatever you do decide to use, HAVE FUN! That's the whole point of playing IMHO & Nidzilla is fun under the right circumstances but Swarmy is tons of fun to play almost all the time for me!

i like the raveners because they move faster than stealers, the gun fex let you take out vehicles as does the throap, and stealers, whats not to like. have fun.
