Why do you have three weapons on the Shas'o? MT only lets you fire two. Also, what do you need a drone cont for when you have no drones (and you shouldn't, IMO)? Lastly, as far as this guy is concerned, a Shas'o is pretty overkill, especially in a small game like this. You're better off taking a Shas'el and boosting his BS with the TA.

Your Crisis team is wasteful. A TL BC isn't worth all that trouble. In fact, BCs on Crises generally aren't worth it. Fielding teams when you could field solos is likewise a bad idea. You lose flexibility and scoring units and make yourself vulnerable to morale and assaults. For the price of that squad, you could have three individuals MP/PR/MT suits, which would be waaaay better.

Your FW points are off. You need to factor in the upgrade cost for the Shas'ui if you want to take a bonding knife.

Lastly, a 525 pt list is not a 500 pt list. I hope you realise this.

1. For my Shas'o, I like my options. However in a small game I suppose 3 is too much.

I'm not good at all and that's why I posted this. I thank you for your ideas and I ask that you keep them coming. I would like to have a usable army some time in the near future. Any help on expanding or improving it would be greatly appreciated.

3 is "too much" at any points level. Look at the combinations it offers you:

CIB + PR: Good against MEqs/TEqs.

CIB + FB: As above, but worse (because risky).

PR + FB: Good against MEqs/TEqs, but not as good as CIB + PR; good against MCs. Risky.

Seriously, PR + CIB is all the flexibility you need. It kills 2+/3+ from a safe distance and thins hordes as well, also from a safe distance. Heavy AT is better left to cheap solo FB suits (or better yet, to railguns).

At 500 pts, I'd run the standard 97 pt PR/MP/TA/HWMT Shas'el, 3 single PR/MP/MT suits, and then look at your troops choices. You probably won't run into av 13/14 at this points level, so I doubt you'll need fusion or whatever. If you can, run the minimum 6 Fire Warriors, and a unit of kroot. I'd honestly try to fit as many suits as you can. Tau troops choices, especially at low points levels, are not that great. JSJ suits own
