Like the title says, here's a 1500 point (okay 1499) list with a Death Skull theme.
Right now my boss' bike is a Eldar Vyper and the deff koptas are Eldar jet bikes. The lootas have a variety of imperial weapons (rather than the new models, I just prefer the rag-tag look). I'm working on Storm Boyz with SM and CSM jet packs. My buggies are the old trukks and buggie kits with some platicard and kitbashing.

Hopefully everything will look "looted," if I ever finish, that is.

Comments and criticism are welcome, of course.

the list is, as you said, very ragtag. it looks like the list doesnt really fit with death skulls and its a mix between death skull and KoS. where are the lootas? frankly i would say drop the kans and add lootas and more truck boys

I agree with the above remarks. If you really want a deathskull list then you need lootas and looted wagons. However, the glaring issue I see here is a general lack of stopping power. The two troop choices of 12 boys in a trukk is one of the worst ways to run orks now, at least until you have 3 or 4 units of them. The reason for this is simple, 12 boys will not last long if they don't break the enemy squad in the first round of combat. Against marines, 12 boys will typically hit them and lose a few before striking, which makes them even weaker against what is now their toughest enemy. I cannot count the times I have now had trukkboys bounce off a marine tactical squad, and god forbid you attack a dedicated marine assault squad, who will simply rip the boyz limb from limb. The moral of the story is thus: don't rely on 12 strong squads of boyz to do much.

I think any army list can qualify for a deff skulz as long as you are customizing the models...
I really like your ideas customizing the bike and deffkoptas...

I do agree though, that only 2 truk units may not be effective...


I am also running a death skull clan and have learned the following things so far....

a) mobs of 30 last the game more often than they are killed off... I run 2 mobs of 30 sluggas and often a mob of 30 shootas
(plus it's kind of addicting to remove 16 models in one round of shooting and not take a morale test hee hee)

b) lootas rock it hard... I run one or two units of 15...

c) boom wagons can either earn much more than their points back or force the enemy to change their attack plan
and either of those is worth it

I'm intrigued with the idea of adding kans and dreds to my clan...
