The list looks really good.
However, I'd drop tank hunter, as the assault cannons are rending
and you have other units to deal with heavy armour.

i was also thinking that ..... with that said i might do this ...
drop the tank hunters on the 2 dreads and the deathwinds
and spend those pts on 1 more marine for each tac squad making them 6 man and therefore harder to make non-scoring

I wouldn't drop TH. Effective S7 gives you that much more reliability, and you'll be damn glad you have it when you mech Tau or Eldar, particularly Eldar. 5 on a non-TH AC gives you what against AV12? Nothing at all. 5 on a TH AC? A glance, which is as good as you'll get against these vehicles. The points you pay for TH double the AC's effectiveness against AV12 skimmers--it's a good deal.

The only glaring issue i see is a vulnerability to dedicated assault units and horde armies such as orks or tyranid. Your small tactical squads don't have the staying power to withstand an assault and the army in general doesn't have enough shooting to stop someone in their tracks. My suggestion is to run a devastator squad and consolidate at least two lascannon into it, freeing the tactical squads to actually do something useful.
I would ditch the deathwind launchers as well, just because they never seem to do anything when I run them.

Its a decent list with a lot of good aspects in it.
I would drop the pods on the Dreads though. In my experience there are many games where you don't want to wait for your podding units to come in and would like them to start on the board. Unless the entire army is planning on podding I wouldn't bother with pods. The same goes for the Terrmies, always make the judgment before deployment on whether or not you can afford to have 500 points of your list sit in reserves for 2 turns. The Benifit of having the homer on the bike reduces some of the risk but not all. Against Horde armies every shot will count and you will need to have those heavy hitting units on the table turn 1 to inflict a good amount of casualties on the enemy.
I would Drop both Pods and get another 5 man las plas squad in there for the points you redeem. Everything else looks good.

This list doesnt work :( ....
played it 2 games and i just dont think the hybrid idea works ..... by the time my deepstriking came almost all the tac squads were killed and there wasnt much left of the bikes...
going to work on another version of this army minus the drop pods and leaving the termis with the option of DS to the homer...
update coming soon

Stalwart Space Marine
KILL! MAIM! BURN! KILL! MAIM! BURN! I... I mean... For the Emperor?..

You should think of beefing up the tac squads and getting a Land Raider Crusader to mount the termies in. Deepstrike is terribly risky. Also, dreads are nice, but a Predator Annihalator costs the same and has lots and lots more AT. Compared to a Dread that can fire one twin-linked las and a missile launcher, while a non-moving predator annihalator can pump out a twin-linked and two normal las shots every turn. It can't fight melee, but a Predator draws that much more fire, keeping your apparently quite vulnerable Marines alive that much longer.

The Ten Commandments of the Space Marine
1. Thou shalt never, ever, ever argue with the Machine Spirit!
2. Thou shalt always remember that the only thing Flamers are sanctioned to cook is Tyranids. Or, lacking these, thine local contingent of Imperial Guardsmen.
3. Thou shalt always stick "Honk if you think i'm Sexy" stickers on the sides of Rhino's carrying Sisters of Battle.
4. Thou shalt, whenever in doubt, hit on the blonde Battle Sister.
5. Thou shalt not slap the most holy of buttocks of thine Sisters the Battle Sisters and utter the blasphemous words "OMG l33t a55!", unless thou wishest to clean the treads of thine Rhino with thine tongue!
6. Thou shallst not use the chainfists of thine holy Terminator brethren as impromptu can openers.
7. Thou may haveth two livers, but thou shallst not therefore drink twice as much.
8. Thou shallst not refer to Sisters of Battle as the Cavalry.
9. Thou shallst on pain of death not paint the heretical words: "Your Farseer is my other ride!" upon thine Rhino!
10. Thou shallst always remember these wise words: Spase Marines are t3h uberz! Hurr! |

I don't think so. Just make sure to chose a location which is at least 7'' away from every dangerous spot.

If you want to run a hybrid army, run Black Templars.
You can get terminators, tactical squads with lascannons, and whatever else you might want to.
Don't deep strike the terminators...and you'll be in much better shape. Just keep everything on the ground to start with and see how much better it will do.
