I am just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the Dark eldar codex has had any unofficial hot fixes or rules that have been agreed upon as being edited to work along with 4th edition?

Thanx!

It already works with 4th edition, like the Imperial Guard.

It doesn't work WELL with 4th edition rules, however... unlike Imperial Guard.

Yah, any unofficial rules are just house rules. At the moment, you might want to talk with your game group and see if you can adopt some, otherwise the dark eldar mostly end up as a very bland list to play. While they are bland, they can be effective though. Check out the army list page for some good ideas of what you can do with them. For the most part though the only units worth using are the archon, raider warrior squads, ravagers, and witches.

Despite the codex's age, it still functions, there are just some unit choices that are worthless. Honestly, though, that's pretty much true for any codex, just for different reasons.

I've seen a couple different threads now mention that DE are rather bland because of the limited number of effective units. I think that's a lot of crap. If we're talking super-competitive, how many types of Eldar or Tyranid build are you going to see?

DE have quite a bit of variety, and fill an army type that no other race really does: very fast, very deadly, and very fragile. Other races may have bits of this, but none have these components in such extremes.

DE can also play successfully in different forms. Wych based melee armies, warrior/raider based shooty armies, both with or without a webway portal, etc. I find any xeno army brings a breath of fresh air into a gaming club, and something as exotic as DE helps even more.

DE will probably have problems now that the new orc codex is out. They really do well against smaller armies of elite troops because of their melee specialists and large amounts of heavy weapons. Hordes are going to regain favor with orcs, however, and this may be a problem for DE.
