Hi guys, Im new here, and have recently began collecting a chaos force. Initially I was interested in collecting a Noise marine/Slaanesh force, however now I don’t really want to just focus on one God, and will make more of an undivided force. At least that what it looks like right now. In any case I have scrapped together an army list. Please note this takes into account all the models I have right now, not what I want to acquire. Also this is not mean to be the most competitive of armies, really I’m just planning to play with some friends, and maybe rarely go to a local GW event; in other word, I’m not worried about uber efficiency, although if I’m making some gross mistake please correct me. The army is primarily a shooty army, I’m not trying to make an all powerful assault force; one of my friends just started collecting orks as well (he is a member here, Skaskull is hisname I believe), and are playing on teaming up together, so he would fulfill the assault requirment. In addition to the stuff below I also have a blister termie with a Combi-weapon and a power axe, I might acquire a few more, and deep strike them in alongside my termintor lord.

Terminator Armor (30), Personal Icon (5), ?

Elites:
5 Possessed Chaos Marines: 5(26)+10+5= 145
Aspiring Champion (10), Icon of Chaos Glory (5)

Troops:
8 Noise Marines: 8(20)+15+40+5+15+15=270
Aspiring Champion (15), Blastmaster (40), Sonic Blaster (5), Doom Siren (15), Power Weapon (15)

Not all of this stuff is yet assembled, so if you think something (specifically weapon configuration) need to be drastically changed, please tell me. Any help is much appreciated. My current dilemma is what to do with my Terminator lord. I have read that demon weapons are excellent, but for the sake of diversity I figure I will put something else on him, and get a demon prince for the demon weapon. I was planning to put a chain fist on him, but perhaps killing his initiative bonus is a stupid idea; maybe lightning claws are better. Any ideas for that?

i'd drop the possessed for the termies your planning on getting as they can fulfill both an assault role and a shooting role with combi bolters and reaper AC's.

anyway for things that won't change your list much make the havocs have either all missile launchers, or lascannons to beef up the anti tank. ideally drop them for more oblits, but if you wat em' then just make the minor change.

next i'd have to say give the lord the lightning claws, he'll be butt nasty with them having 5 attacks on the charge re rolling wounds, hitting almost anything on a 3+ in short death death death.

If you want an army for competitive play, take a winged Slaaneshi DP wielding the lash (155 pts).
Add 2x2 Obliterators (300 pts).
The Noise Marines are fine as is the CSM squad (about 400 pts).
There are 250 pts left. Posssessed suck.
Better take another Noise Marine squad in a Rhino,
led by an AC with power weapon and doom siren.
If you team up with Orks, then alternatively Havocs with autocannons would be good.

Havocs should have all one weapon type if possible.

Noise marines have only one sonic blaster? so five guys have regular bolters? I'd put a few more sonic blasters at least.

Indeed, remove individual pt costs... copyright issues.
