Hi I'm Larkin Vain (named after my 1st DND character. I'm new here and though I should introduce myself.

I've been a wargamer for about 5 years now. 7 years if you count my Mage Knight and Clix years.

Warhammer 40K was introduced to me at Comic Con 2003 and was the first miniatures wargame that I bought. I bought the starter set and some orks. I never got to play at all and was able to paint up a couple of models.

Later in 2003 I was introduced to Warmachine and got into that and actually got to playing the game. I love the system, models and fluff very much and went head over heals for Warmachine as I bought one of each starter and now till this day currently have at least 5000 points for each faction and mercs for both Warmachine and Hordes.

Throughout the years I've bought and collected many 40K armies with the intention to play but never got to it. I have owned in the last couple of years Space Marines, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Orks, and Witch Huntress. Last year I eventually sold them all.

This year makes 5 years that I was introduced to 40K and I thought it would be a shame for me to not even get to complete an army and play a game of 40K being that it is what got me into this wonderful hobby. So about a month ago I bought a Tau Mega Battleforce box set with the goal to complete a 1500 point Tau army. Some friends helped me out by completing my army with 3 Broadsides and an HQ. Just last week I'm proud to say I've finally played one game of 40k. It was lots of fun and I really enjoyed it. The rules are more clunky than what I'm used to but it was fun.

Now I'm here looking for 40k discussion as there's no official message boards that I know of and thanks to the D6 Generation for letting me know of it.

Thanks for the virtual hang out place.
