I don't quite have the units to take it to 750, but that's probably a good
thing. For 750 points I'm thinking I'll play my test-efeora list.

The scenario for Mercs is kinda tricksy too. There's a bridge over a
gorge, and if models go into the gorge they are RFP, which is nice. Of
course my plan of attack is completely hosed if someone decides to
bring a smokescreen of some sort, but that's ok. I never expected
the game to be easy.

Well it is, just easy to lose.

Aw, malf, how awesome would it be to crit a unit with a Steam Lobber shot and have them fly into the gorge?

So I guess my advice is Take More Mules!

If I have to bump it up to 750, I have Croe's, various solos, and a couple more gunners I could put in. I haven't quite finished (read: started) assembling the Rockram yet.

I wish I could afford more Mules. I picked up some stuff
for Skorne as well as my Mule yesterday, so I'm pretty
much tapped out for the month. Maybe next week I might
have enough primed to start bringing Skorne.

The current plan is to rotate armies league week to league
week just to get a feel for all of them.

I don't know if I can bump up my mercs to 750. If I did, the
field would be strewn with solos.

What time will you be there, oomie? I think a bunch of
people are trying to get there at opening (10). If I go, it'll
be earlier rather than later due to a family gathering.

I was thinking early, too. Probably around 11, but I'll see if I can make it there earlier.

Back to your list, Grogspar might make an interesting addition. His melee attacks can throw people. But his "no knockdown" bit isn't as useful though because the Sea Dogs don't have Tough without Rockbottom.

Have you tried Vanguards with Bart? I haven't even picked up Bart, but it seems like they'd work well - inexpensive light with good armor, reach, and a ranged attack. Not that you have this stuff, but I've thought of:

Maybe. Actually, I don't know exactly what you have and thought Grogspar would be good for the scenario. Don't let me pressure you into buying more stuff.

I'll have to try it another week. They sold out of Vanguards last time I
was at the shop.
