which ones are they? the old metal slag bikes?

you need a flat saw in order to rid yourself of those heads.

if it's the old plastics i used to use large clippers. Nowadays i use the legs and arm supplied and stick on the multipart torsos.

I'm coming to get you

Urm. Yeah, what covenant84 said. Why don't you just use some new plastic torsos instead of the one-piece head/torso units. They'll look better and you don't have to fuss with removing the head.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

the plastics are bigger even and make the model look even more impressive.

Part of the problem is that old style riders (what he apparently has) are flat at the waist, where the newer style are concave on the torso and convex at the legs where they meet. Trying to connect these 2 (I've tried) is a PITA, in the very least. You have to, either, build up the waist or fill in the torso. Neither is a great option.

Greenstuff DEFINITELY doesn't work well. It pulls free from the legs if it receives even a moderately sharp blow (like dropping it onto the table from about a foot away). Pinning could work, but... Eh....
I say to deal with the heads. They're not THAT bad.
Failing that, use plastic snippers to trim off the head, then use a dremel to hollow out the neck area enough for the head to seat down in there.

i used a craft knife and it worked pretty dam well the collar is fine, and the lack of neck and the hollowing out of the head makes it look like they are new bikes, and most of the hair / helmet head covers up the bits i cut out of the head.

thanks.
