Ok guys, I've just got a couple of really quick questions:

1. 'Ard boyz, is this upgrade a waste on shoota boyz? Should it go on sluggas in a trukk?

2. Grotz, what are they good for? I have a unit and can only see myself holding an objective with them...one that's way far away from the fighting.

Thanks in advance.

Can it be? Party liquor rain!?

1. IMHO no, your points are better spent elsewhere.

2. Grotz fire the big guns and that's about all they're worth. Maybe something magical will happen with 5th and they'll be worth taking in squads again. For now, if you take some artillery, take lots of extra grots and ammo runts. That's the only use I can see for them.

*Looks at his $40 pile of useless* Awww...but they're so cute.

What about grabba poles on runtherds used to kill ICs? I mean, -3 attacks that's nothing to laugh at really, is it? Couldn't they do that? Who's going to waste their time shooting at the little guys anyway, especially when my trukk boyz are in their face? I'm flailing for anything here.

I wouldn't recommend Ard Boyz for either Slugga or Choppa units either. Spread they joy around by having larger or more units.

A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

If you really want to take 'Ard Boyz, I would make them sluggas in a trukk. Only in CC will you get good use from the 4+; out in the open, you just become a magnet for all the AP4 firepower that has nowhere else to go.

The best option is still not to take it at all.

In a trukk you’re also limited to 12 boys. Adding the 4+ save can help the smaller number of boys last longer. Not too bad. Otherwise you’re basically always better off with more boys.

I’m feeling really sad about grots. Previously they could make nice cheap objective-holders and HtH tie-up units, as well as providing a cover save to units behind. But between the mandatory slavers and the reduced price of basic Boys, you’re generally better off just taking a bare-bones unit of regular Shoota or Slugga boys..
