This guy is brilliant. I've been wanting to get into Warmachine as well.

I didn't realize there was an animated series. Anyone seen it?

Smite to everyone who likes that comic. CAD is the loss.

funny how people start claiming that, but yet can't give decent arguments along the way.

So bad copy paste art and over explaining every single panel aren't decent arguements?

Not to mention the "author as character" character with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, whose sole purpose is to live out some twisted fantasy life of the author.

Overuse of dialog in a visual medium.

Blatant rip-offs of other, more established, better webcomics (Winter-een-mas anyone?).

Oh, and get this, it's about a couple of twenty-something guys who, you'll never see this coming, play videogames... a lot!

So, he uses a genre that other people use too?
Better stop playing/reading any game/comic/book then. I thought that buckley actually invented wintereenmas, but if he didn't, so what?
Almost any cartoonist uses his own character to explain some things, seriously, that's just a filler-argument.
And 'lots of dialog' seems to be the biggest problem nowadays? I can't even begin to explain how wrong that arguement is on every single level.

As a term, yes, Winter-een-mas is a CAD creation. However, Homestar Runner came up with Decemberween and PVP had a similar videogame-related holiday years ago. The games as a religion is also swiped from other webcomics.

I do have a problem with the author putting themselves in a comic where every wacky thing he does is brilliant, and everything stupid he does is ignored by the other characters. If they were all that cartoonish, then have at it. But they're not. They're the straight men who never ever tell what's-his-face to shut the eff up. Having the author's personification as the bumbling numskull who is practically idolized by the rest of the cast and ultimately can do no wrong is narcissistic trash.

And I didn't say there anything about too much dialog, I said the overuse of it. When your "jokes" drag on for three extra panels and you just have to have the characters keep explaining it to each other it loses all semblance of humor.
