My buddy has an odd style of playing Dark Eldar. He spends a boat load of points to pimp out his archon and retinue and uses them as well as two Talos to front a two pronged attack while his warriors make a static firing line behind him.

I'm very new at this game and playing orks. I'm looking for ways to look at this tactically and how I should go about dealing with it.

Thanks!

As a DE player, I can tell you that Talos' are painfully slow. With only 6" movement, they're more fire magnets than make or break assault units for DE armies. As for his static firing line, remember that DE are fragile and dark lances aside, standard range for their guns...templates, heavy weapons, deep striking assault troops (I don't know what Orks have in that category), are all ways to combat a static firing line.

Don't know any advice for the Archon and Retinue. We DE players take pride in having the scariest assault unit of the game =)

I'm thinking of going with some serious Dakka in my ork army to combat his creeping advance. I know his armor saves are close to mine and his toughness is lower. I think I can make him pay for taking every step toward me. Lootas and artillery. How fun!

Thanks!
