Totally disagree. It fits very well with the overall dirty and darker way the walker is painted. also it looks kinda like "used-to-be-alive-but-has-died-ages-ago" first thing i thought when seeing the whole dirty look, was scout. well executed

The vindi is almost too dark for me, think it could use at least a little shinier metal on the cannon at least. But I appreciate the level of ding going on, impressively filthy

You mentioned redoing the power mace in the termi squad to avoid babyrattleishness. Are you repainting the whole thing? Hope not- maybe just pain the central bit metallic, and leave the fins powered-up-deathy blue?

I think I might actually be scared of your 30mm tall toys. Jeez.

In the end I just added a couple real thin brown washes. It took some of the brightness out and has made it a bit more suitable for a weapon. Other than that I haven't unrattled it much more.

Now I only have 2 defilers, 2 vindicators, 2 rhinos, a baneblade and the lord to finish.

Just a quick one to let you all know I am still on this project, it's just on temporary hold. We've experienced some fairly significant flooding in our area, many people are out of home and unable to get to work or even out of town atm. So it's all temporarily on hold until things get back to normal.

I love this one so much I want a whole swarm of them It even took out a landraider in the last game I played with it...and not with it's cannon either! It HUMPED it to death!!!

This is one of the ceerpiest mechanical things eye have ever seen. Tomb Spiders would just burst into tears when they see this big mama.

The cannon is underslung, if you look at the rear pic, you'll just make out the back end of the assemble. It's almost indiscernible in these pics.

I gotta agree, the model is excellent, and your paint is amazing, I especially like the attention to light sourcing on the "foot" claws, kudos!

Well, since I've adopted the moniker of Iron Giants for this army, I've completed the Chaos Lord, who is equipped with Plasma Pistol, Combi Flamer, Twin Lightning claws, Mark of Khorne and Juggernaught (both represented by the extra weapons and size - he is actually equipped with a combat servo harness assembly a-la Doc Ock). I used a mail order techmarine as the basis and I have a few bits to tidy up with GS yet, but you all have the pleasure of seeing it after the work I've done over the last couple of days. Here's the pics:

Excellent work on this one. I'm a little jealous though has this was exactly what i had in mind for my Bigmek but cant find the servo harness bitz anywhere. Alas, in the future look for a similar looking yet distinctly orky mini coming soon

He looks very cool. And he fits the Iron Giants/Iron Warriors very well. The extra harness arms are a very nice touch as are the converted weapons.
