yup... still not fully started the work week for real... as i work at school and the first graders are still to be starting next monday... lots of preparations and stuff...god... i today copied thousands of pages from books...urgh...
Perhaps, since there are a possible 6 objectives in a 40K mission, we could do another round of 3 objectives later on as well? Giving us a whole 6 afterwards?
"Holy Sh*&, you've opened my eyes and changed my mind about this topic, thanks Dakka OT!"
Actually it's a shame neither panda or myself had thought of that... otherwise we would have limited the counters to a solid three other than the three to six we have listed on the OP.
Tis a shame... c'est la vie.
Well Round two is already planed (which is my domain lols), which will hopefully stretch everyone's skills

I may be dumb, or it's my lack of coffee, but I don't see anything about how many objectives to enter. Only the three categories. That's why I thought it was three.
No matter though.

Looking forward to it!
OK, so I got off my ass last night and built my last two objectives plus the base for my first one. I even got pics of them before I primed them, only to have the site go down and I couldn't post them!
So, here we go!
Base for Prospekta:
Just added a bit more scrap to the resin base to make him look like he was standing on a pile of it. This will be my "supplies" entry.
Second one will be my "left behind" one. Mainly because of the look on the Grot on top's face. I know the pic isn't good enough to see but it screams "where'd da Boyz git off to?"
The third Grot on the separate base will be integrated behind the crate. It will be crowded but Grots don't have an idea of "personal space".
Lastly will be my "motivational" one. I found this in my pile of "to-do" stuff in the Ork section of my workspace (you have no idea how much crap I have!). It is very suited for this purpose!
Better pics will be posted after paint (these are just from my phone) but you get the gist of where I'm headed.

Well I did post earlier as to what the hell an objective marker was as I don't play I just buy gak loads of models to stack in boxes on shelves
If someone had broke it down for me then yes I would have but no one did so no as it's a bit late now but I have seen some really cool stuff going on here
However count me in for the next round, but please break down the requirements for us none players or fluff readers I am slightly pissed that I did not no what the hell was needed
Also 3 objectives marker dam you are demanding
Now where is K9 I am trying to work out your number 3

Ah sorry dude, I knew there was someone/something I needed to reply to... but for the life of me I couldn't remember what
lols 3 objective markers are the minimum you can have, and the max is 6 so no we're not demanding lols... just going by the rules
oh, I broke my SD card slot on my comp, so need a usb plug and play one before I can post pics... you'll see a finished K9 soon, plus something rather random, but along the same lines which is a scratch build/sculpt
and...horatio cane is so awefull.... i seldom watch this show....it is totally hilarious to see him take of his shades and make that constigated look... something in me then feels the urge to belt him over with a spanner....
lols, I'm more of a Matt Smith person than a David Tennant for the modern ones Vik but yes, I am just rekindling my love of Doctor Who. As next year is the 50th anniversary of the show, and GW used to produce some minatures of DW back in the 80's. so any excuse to involve one of my biggest loves.
Yeah Gary Sinise was good in The Stand, but its been a very long time since I've seen it tbh
since you are one of the guys here that is totally in with the doc... as i never really started to watch any dr. who... where would be a good point to geeeeently ease my way into that whole scheme?... any series i should start with... i dunno if i can cope with the really old stuff... or should i do nevertheless?
Just a little more off topic. I have seen that guy with the shades on commercials for CSI Miami, but have never seen the show. I just don't have the coping skills. I do know the character takes himself extremely seriously. I find his name very fitting and impossibly funny.
In fact the more I think about Horatio the funnier it is! I may have to catch a rerun.

Well I'd suggest if your wanting to watch the new stuff to start from Christopher Eccleston tbh, as you can see the show evolve properly from when it was brought back in '05. it's the only way imo. Fair warning though, Matt Smith is like a child with genius complex teaching a class of pupils older than him just after ingesting a bag of sugar or three.
