The plan here is to keep the deathtraps(rhinos) empty and infront of the berzerkers to form a screen form them to advanve behind. The defilers stay back and blast away with battle cannons. I am open to any and all suggestions and comments. I am trying to build a deadly khorne themed list.

Given that our metagame doesn't involve Falcdar, Clown Taxis, TMCs, or Mechanized spamming, I think this list is pretty reasonable. Not necessarily uber-end all and destroyer of worlds material, mind you, but reasonable nonetheless.

If you don't get first turn, it's game over for the Rhino wall. And the Defilers.

I think you should go with your original scenario, but with a twist. Take a couple of Terminator Squads in Land Raiders to lead your Berzerker-mounted Rhino squads.

By leaving out Kharn (cool though he is), and the Greater Daemon, you can fit in a basic Terminator Lord with the Mark of Khorne (make one of the Terminator squads a gang of four, so he fits in their Land Raider) and free up some points for that heavy armour.

Someone wake me, this is a nightmare.

If you want to still use berzerkers, it could be worthwhile to include cheap Lesser Demons as well. Obliterators are also a no-brainer, as are 2 winged demon princes. After that, the only thing making it "World Eaters" are the 'zerkers.

That list would require you to field 60 Raptors. I know for a fact you're not about to go out and drop that much money on Raptors.

I think the following list will do quite nicely when 5th Edition rolls around in about 2 months:

Check my math on the Berzerkers, I may be off on the costs (don't have the dex in front of me).

Comes in a few points shy of 2000. You could definitely switch out the two Obliterator Squads for a pair of Defilers, but then you'd lose reliable anti-tank. Then again, a pair of Battlecannons for crowd control would be nice.

the advantage is that in 5th you'll be running with 60 Fearless troops. You have 2nd turn charge potential if your opponent moves anywhere but away from you (which is likely against everyone but me - then again, we play against each other more than anything else, so it may suit you fine when tooled to kill Templars. Guard, Tau and GK on the other hand are different.).

You could always reduce the number of squads you take, beef up into bigger groups, and/or drop entire units to take Terminators or more Heavy Support. It's all a matter of what fits for you.

I dont care if most armies will crush it, that list is my dream to field. It just seems like it would be fun to use. Be expecting to fight that in the near future.

The only thing I would do differently is possibly take defilers over obliterators and take Kharn(because I think he is cool). I like that 60 berzerker list and I have the models for it.

Pray that the game is over after 5 rounds. Otherwise, you will run out of troops.

Now that I have the models for a 60 berzerker list, I think I am going to use it in a game soon.

Actually, in my army build request, you made a working Khorne list. Playtested and it was fine.

This list looks a lot like a Genestealer swarm list... except your Marines can't fleet... or rend... or reroll missed attacks... or scout... aren't I6... don't have WS6...

I don't intend to be rude, but as cool as I think Kharn is, I don't see World Eater spam as a competitive list. It might be fun, but the same fun could be had with other armies that are much more effective while doing so. I can see a squad, maybe two, as a viable supplement to plasma-laden Plague Marines in a double lash prince list... but I guess then you're aiming for a deadlier rather than fluffier list at that point.

Even fluff-wise, though, I thought Khorne's Berserkers were more the orks of the CSM factions: showing up whenever a good fight is involved.

Well, you were right. You absolutely owned me in that game today. At least I was able to table Tau.

Sadly, the fastest way to get the berzerkers to where you want them to go relatively unharmed is with Rhinos. The berzerkers also need a fist, (which is awesome for the zerk champion, since he have alot of attacks anyway without worrying about combining with a 2nd CC weapon.)

You run three rhinos full of berzerkers towards something, and then pop smoke. You have 2 flying demon princes hiding behind the rhinos. Then you pounce on whatever you want, and have a buttload of summoned demons drop off the zerker's icons and flood the battlefield with bodies, that the zerks can clean up.

It sounds alot better than it is, but it's probably the best way to do it.

So...

2x Winged Demon Princes
3x Zerks in Rhino with Icon and Powerfist
3x big squads of Lesser Demons
2x 2 oblits for fire support

I don't know how many points that is, but that's what I'd try for, and it looks like it's your best bet, and it still won't be very good.

The rhinos at least prevent your expensive berzerkers from getting shot as they advance, and they are relatively immune to all the negative effects of destroyed vehicles.

The demons supply cheap bodies that come down right where the action is going to be. (Around the zerkers) The Demon Princes pounce as soon as they have an opportunity, and Oblits are always good in chaos armies.

You could run land raiders too, but then you have nothing else in your army.
