The tyranid carnifex has an upgrade call symbiote rippers, it says "when in close combat, each ripper infested base adds one for out numbering purposes. after all modifiers." now does that mean i glue little ripper creatures below his feet or do i actualy glue ripper bases to his base? monstrous creatures are considerd 10 for outnumbering right. so if i add ten more rippers that would be 20 for out numbering purposes? or is there a limit to how many i can put in? also would that mean i have to add 10 bases to his base or if i have 5 rippers on one base would that count for 5? ... it is confuseing to me.

You can only take each Biomorph once, says so right in the codex.

So that means a Carnifex will get a maximum of +1 to his model count thanks to Symbiote Rippers.

Feel free to model as many Rippers on his base as you want to represent this upgrade, but regardless it will still just be +1.

Yep.

But I'd suggest not wasting the points.

If you care what upgrades I think are worthwhile you can check out my carnifex article HERE.

If you have the spare Termagants it'd be something to model both Rippers and Termagants/Hormugaunts onto the Carnifex's base. Especially when you still it in the middle of a whack of Termagants and Rippers!
