Hey all,

Just got the codex a week ago, a nd with some steady reading i think ive decided on an army list for 1,500pts goff.

Here it goes

Hq-

Ghazghkull Thraka, 225pts (btw it doesnt say what weapon he uses in codex but i assume its a PK)

Mad dok grotsnik, 160 pts

Elites-

5x burna boyz, 75pts

5x tankbustas, 1x rokkit hammer, 75pts

Transport-

2x trukk, wreckin' ball, reinforced ram, 100pts

Troops-

8x nobz, 2xPK, 4x twin linked shoota, waagh banner, 285pts

10 'ard boyz, nob, PK, bosspole, 140pts

30x Ork boyz, 2x rokkit launcher, nob, pk, bosspole, 240pts

30x Ork boyz, 2x rokkit launcher, nob, pk, bosspole, 240pts

Total: 1500pts

Troop count: 90
Vechile count: 2

Thats all.. i think its a pretty decent list and it suits my style of play.. C & C appreciated!

(and btw soz if calculations are correct i did the list at like 1am )

Is your style of play "lose every single game"? If so, you're all set. Okay, I exaggerate, but there are a few bad choices in there.

'Ere we go:

The codex tells you he has mega armour. This is in turn tells you what weapons he has.

5x burna boyz, 75pts


Useless. Will never make it into combat--two casualties and they're running.

5x tankbustas, 1x rokkit hammer, 75pts


See above.

2x trukk, wreckin' ball, reinforced ram, 100pts


Are these meant for your burnas and tankbustas? If so, they're illegal. Check your dex: these units cannot take trukks.

FYI, in future please list dedicated transport options under the unit you're giving them to.

These guys are awful. How do you expect them to get into battle, and what is the point of those TL shootas? For a little more than what you've paid for this squad, you could have two mobs of trukk boyz with PK nobs instead.

Okay if they're in a trukk (although they should be full strength), awful otherwise.

It's a waste not to take the 3rd rokkit in each squad. Otherwise solid.

The list looks pretty good but I'm going to reccommend dropping the Tankbustas since the "Glory Hog" rule is going to make them tough to be played unless you know your opponents lists and tactics as well as your own.

Since it seemed like you wanted to put the Tankbustas or Burna Boyz in a Trukk I'd suggest taking a Battlewagon (with or without a Killkannon) and 12 Burna Boyz. The Battlewagon should protect them and getting 12 power weapons in close combat is going to be dead killy.

That's just my opinion.

Question why all the extra points in the IC's? One I can understand (though I prefer cheap as grot poo HQ's) but two is overdoing it. YOu could save 80 points by removing the doc and get a warphead instead which will compliment Thrakkas special ability. The Tank busters are pretty bad (try chasing down a damn speeder all game) but if you remove them as well you have 230 points which can be two more truck mobs or another big mob of Shoota boyz (put big shootas here so that the points work). Have the warphead ride with the shoota mob and if you are lucky you will either get free waaghs or like I did last night teleport right next to a squad of marines and paste um good. Just my thinking on it.
