Jokaero ftw!

Also, they look a bit like the tauren-in-starcraft april fools joke - especially with that colour scheme.

I'm impressed. First pre-paints I've thought look good. Not sold on the whole albino space-Kong thing though.

I wouldn't get too excited on the basis of the paintjobs... those are the studio pics, not the models you'll actually receive.

You know, when I saw the thread title, I didn't expect them to be actual wendigos, I was thinking it was more of a nick name.

These look good, very good even, considering they're pre-painted.

But as insaniak said, I realize these are not the models that will be coming in the boxes, which makes me sad.

I just can't get into the whole pre-painted scene.

I really think Mechwarrior: Dark Ages killed it for me. Although I've hung onto a few favorite mechs, that's a phase I don't want to go through again.

I don't like how the weathering looks on the prepainted
models, but I don't even bother with weathering on most
of my own stuff anyway.

Actually the prepaints are not that far off.

Those are nice look models. Though I wish they came unpainted. I would enjoy assembling, converting, and painting up some of those guys.

They remind of something from the Justifiers RPG. That game was a trip. You can find some really nifty, random stuff at Half-Price Books.

We´ve got out-of-the-box-pictures in the Karman section of www.at43-forum.de, they are quite close to the above.

I got to see some models from all thee forces (including the 'space gorilla's' 2 weeks ago and I must say I was pretty impressed with the paint jobs for pre painted.

Overall a decent 'bucket game' (can carry it to play in a bucket) but alas time to learn and numbers of players in deficiency in my city...

The main mechanics of the game can be learned in under an our if you are a good reader.

by "good reader" do you really mean "can quickly translate Rackham's horrible grasp of English"?

Normally I would agree with you, but after playing at-43 a few dozen times, I have come to the conclusion that rackham ( a french company) made a better english ruleset than GW did (an english company).

They seem to have learned their lesson from a few years ago about horrible translations and what they will do to a game.

The english rules still have some small problems, but nothing that hurts the main mechanics.

The last ruleset I read before seeing AT-43 or new
Confrontation was the CAdwallon, and it was nearly
unreadable. The AT-43 and Confrontation stuff is actually
really good, as Hellfury says.
