hey guys. i'm doing a "take and hold" mission against Tau soon and I was wanting some help with my list.

warboss w/pk and 'bork

red trukk w/ 12 boyz and a nob w/pk


red trukk w/ 11 boyz and da boss, boyz with stikkbombs


20 boyz shoota boyz with 2 big shootas attached.


I've never played against Tau before but I know they like to shoot. I also know my foe is not wild about Koot and
probably won't field any.

Any suggestions?

No point mixing foot-sloggers and Trukk mobs like that. Mount them all up and you'll do better.

I disagree. If your trukk boyz can get stuck in early, the footsloggin' shootas can provide good cleanup/support until they're needed for a second melee wave.

Maybe exchange the mob of boyz for Bikers or some cheap Heavy Support like Lobbas or Kannons.

vikings vs mafia, why put yourself in a position where you'll need "a second melee wave"? It's 500 points. If two mobs of Trukk boyz is enough to do the job to the point where only "cleaning up" is necessary, then three mobs of Trukk boyz would have been insta-win.

Besides, if your Trukk boyz "get stuck in early," what are the shootas going to shoot?

Nurglitch's idea is good too, at least for this points value. Or get Stormboyz, which are good at any points value.

I went with the 3rd trukk of boys with a nob and pk...and against 500 points of Tau, it was a rolling wave of green death.
