I figured I should post a bit about meself here.

My real name is Scott, I am 25 years old and live in Northern California. I am a confused college student, considering majoring in art. I have been playing wargames since my last year of highschool in 2001 where I was introduced into 40k, never have looked back. I enjoy rpg's and roleplaying them. Right now I am in a campaign with a deadlands classic group, and enjoying the steampunk western setting. I'm also getting material together to game master a Dark Heresy campaign for my deadlands group when they would like a bread from our weekly game. I like to shoot traditional archery with my father, and shoot shotguns where we play games such as sporting clays, skeet, and trap. I am a monthly volunteer for my areas local skeet and trap club and enjoy the time spent there pulling for all the old timers. I also hunt deer, pheasant, ducks, and chukar. Maybe wild pigs with my dad later in this year but we will have to see.

As far as wargaming goes, I have only delved as far as 40k, WHFB, and a little into AT-43. I am a competitive person but a good sport and look for a challenge when it comes to games, most of the time. ARmies that I currently have for 40k are IG, probably about 2500-3000 points worth with several tanks. I have about 2000-2.5k points in Bretonnians, but am probably going to switch them for an all Night Goblin/Goblin mix Fantasy army which my sister and I plan on playing against each other in small increments starting with 500 points. I also have about 1500 stretched points of Chaos Space marines but am most likely going to cut that down to 1000 points of Khorne.

I like the hobby aspect of both games a great deal, finishing a miniature or piece of terrain is a great feeling! I enjoy converting also, but when it comes to all things model wise, I have to really push myself and be disciplined to produce finished pieces. I am trying to perfect my current rank and file painting technique so I can get more models done to TT standard and that I am happy with.
I have been on a terrain making binge lately as evidenced by my CoD terrain blog.

Well I think that's all I can say without being any more long-winded!

I like cheese, cheddar cheese to be precise...

Howdy Scott,

What part of No Cal do you live in?

I grew up in San Jose, FYI.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

Hey yakface! I grew up in Sacramento, well east sacramento, but live in eureka behind the redwood curtain. It's pretty removed from civilzation, and doesn't have much of a gaming community, but when I visit my parents in Sac I go down to Great Escape. I also lived in Southern California for about 4 years, in Santa Clarita, where there is a much larger community for wargaming.
