killer Kan w/ rokit
Team did well placing tied for 18th out of 92 teams.
First round double masacre against a great bunch of beakie players. Team Name was Friendly Wager and they came to play with a great attitude. To them winning or losing the game was not the overall goal. Their goal was to win the wager they had made amonst themselves and to win that they simply had to kill more models then the other three during the game. Needless to say that my opponents were very happy when they saw that they team up they faced had 170+ figures and they're team mates faced both speed list with a total of only 70. The highlight of the game came when Ghazzie was on the recieving end of a charge from a 10 man death company with Lemartes. after a flurry of blood crazed swings inflicting 19 wounds Ghazzie was still standing with just one wound left. He promptly dispatched 4 of the hated dark company. My shoota boy squad charged and tried to save him but the great ork fell to Lemartes sword before they could swing. After much rejoicing by the Blood Angel player we quietly reminded him that Ghazzie still only counts as ONE figure. The death company proceeded to take their toll on the shoota boys before they were burried under a tide of green.
Second round got a draw and victory against another great team playing Panzees. Snikrot distinguished himself slaughtering a great number of Harliquins while Grotsnik and 5 meganobs teed off on the Avatar. In my game Dakka and Wazza were teamed up on a board with at least 50% line of sight blocking terrain. My 15 loota's didn't get a shot off the entire game, but distinguished themselves by countercharging Harliquins and all but wiping them out. My panzee opponent decided to put all the attacks on the already engaged shoota boys squad not expecting loota's to have any CC potential. Who expects a heavy weapon squad to have 45 attacks at str 4! Leaving the Harliquins stuck in to get beat on turned out to be a very smart play on their part however because the 2 harlies that survived jumped out of combat and took out the defcopta that was one of our designated combat engineers. The other harliquins squad which was reduced to half in the second round of combat by the other shoota boy unit jumped out and took out the other combat engineer(the big mek) preventing us from scoring the primary victory condition. In the end we lost the primary but won the secondary and tertiary objective for a dead even draw. One of the best games I've played in a long time. My Thanks for a great game to the Laughing Death Team
Third round Double loss to Zilla nids. The game by my team was a loss most because both my teammate and me were a bit drained and made many mistakes. The nids scored both the primary and secondary because we weren't comunicating and didn't pay attetion to the finer points of the mission. We got the tertiary objrctive, victory points by quite a bit losing only a wartrack and a cybork truck squad with one 30 man shoota squad below half. The other team Waaagh and Wazza, scored a minor loss due mostly to very very bad die rolls. One squad in difficult terrain moved a total of 12 inches during the game and 6 of those came from Ghazzies Waaagh.
Round 4 was a massacre for my team Dakka and Waagh two horde lists with Snikrot and Ghazzie and a minor loss for the two speed list vs a mish mash of chaos/Beakies for us and sisters/orcs for the other match. Primary condition was a kill points 1 point for troops 2 for elites and heavies and 3 for Hq's. The other team played well and were great sports but didn't really stand a chance due to the mission objectives. They made a strong play for the secondary at the end game but dice did not go their way. Snikrot once again was a star getting seven kill points all by himself taking out both enemy HQ's a lash prince and librarian on turn 2 and a tac squad by the end of the game. The enemy got 4 easy points from a killa kan and lone wartrak. The kan took a great while to kill due to our opponents poor die rolling on penetrating hits.
My favorite moment was the charge of the Lootas. They got almost all their kills in the first two Games in CC, proving that even though they are no good thieving Deth Skulls they are still Proppa! My brother's MVP would be Snikrot and his Redskull Kommando's. Maddoc and his Meganobs also did well. All in all it was great fun and I would love to do it again next year if we can find a cheaper and less time consuming way to get there. If would be great to get someone to run a team tournie somewhere in the Northeast because the format was awesome. The missions where also great I loved the way they forced you to do things you never normally would.

Hi,
You guys played us (the Cold Steel Mercs) in the final round. I was the Witch-hunter player that took on your team-mates with our Bad Moon merc army. Stupid callidus assassin couldn't kill a lone deffkopta which got your guys the secondary win. Luckily for us the carnage caused by our shooting meant we got the primary objective 8-3.
Our team-mates got tons of grief from us for getting beaten up by Snikrot
Did you get a copy of the codex we made up?

Yeah I got the codex! Nice job on the printout. Tis a pity you guys didn't get more points for theme or you would have placed much higher. Your teammates would have had a tough time scoring more kill points then us even if they hadn't had such miserable luck. 8 man tactical squad 1 point vs 30 orks 1 point. The drop pod dreadnaught stood a good chance of breaking the Loota's and failed. Wouldn't have meant much, though just would have forced us to Pop Ghazzies Waaagh a 1/2 turn earlier to make them fearless. Snikrot is a hard thing to fight against with a sit and shoot army. I'm pretty sure that everyone who played at adepticon knows exactly what Snikrot can do now.

No, they tanked us with an 8, actually. Gunkie and his team got the 30. Last year we got a 27 just with matching t-shirts and dog tags, and the fact that we were all Chaos Space Marines, as opposed to mixed codices.
This year we not only had the shirts and the tags, but a complete codex made in In Design and published at Staples, an interlocking (albeit not awesome-looking) display board for the four armies, themed objective markers (piles of money), and three of our armies had handpainted banners with the name or initials of the team. Yakface is right that they really drop your theme score for mixing codices unless you REALLY sell them on the fluff angle AND make the extra effort to have all the bases match, etc.
Hi Gunkie! Sorry we didn't give you guys a closer game. We really made a judgement error putting both our HQs where Snikrot could get to them, and in not placing more terrain in the center to block LOS for the lootas and slow down the march of the horde. Hopefully we'll meet at another tournament someday and get in a more exciting match.

Hey there. Just a heads up. I think you didn't use the callidus right in the match. The Callidus has a jump back rule which states at the begining of the assault phase you can jump out of combat. This means before any charges are declared. You used this rule after charges were declared so he couldn't be charged... otherwise we would have charged him to stomp on him Was a good game though and would have made the game closer 5-3.
I still think your necrons looked better in pink then the marines. Nothing funnier then a pink Nightbringer. Are you doing the Baltimore GT this year?

Hi there,
You could be right. The tourny was playing the rules for her different to how the other events I go to play and I could have slipped into that mode. I think we were all on auto-pilot in that game, as it was the last of the day. I thought she ended the game dead, but my memory of that is a little hazy.
I hope to be at Baltimore. Not sure what army I'll be taking though.
