I know I just put up an army list for these guys about two weeks ago, but I've settled on an idea and I want to know what you all think of it. As a fan of Ahriman, I'm inlcuding him in the list - there's nothing like a rock-solid HQ to keep everything together. I kind of stole the name of the army from IA:5 with the Disciples of Xaphan.
 C&C Welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thousand Sons 1200 Point Army List

 "Disciples of Ahriman"

 Ahriman

Sorceror w/ Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Change, Warptime, Personal Icon

Thousand Sons Squad (9) w/ Aspiring Sorceror (w/ Bolt of Change)

Thousand Sons Squad (9) w/ Aspiring Sorceror (w/ Bolt of Change)

 Obliterator

 1198 Points.
 23 Models

I know that for 1200 Points it is a little number-weak. Being a horde-BT and IG player doesn't help the discomfort of having such a small number of models on the field. Second, it is S L O W. Since Ahriman and the Sorceror will be hanging out behind the Thousand Sons, I get the feeling that I won't be doing a whole lot of moving throughout the game.

The antipersonnel problem is solved with all the AP3 Bolters. I have 4 Force Weapons, so any nasties that charge me will be brought down quick, since the 4+ Invulnerable Saves will keep them around in CC. Antitank weapons include 4 Bolts of Change and 3 Lascannons, so I think I'm set. The only think I'm really worried about at this point are horde armies like Orks or Nids. 3+ save horde armies tend to be fewer in number, but massive squads of Genestealers or Boyz will present a huge problem. Force Weapons will be useless as I won't have the sheer volume of attacks to kill models, nor will I have the number of shots to thin them out beforehand.

To this end, I considered giving the Sorceror the Wind of Chaos psychic power instead of Warptime (I'd also have to give up the Personal Icon to make room). He'd complement the squad that Ahriman didn't join, giving both 10-man units a pair of Force Weapons, a pair of Bolts of Change, and a decent horde-thinner in the form of WoC. Is it worth it for the loss of Warptime?

Any suggestions on how to field this kind of list in combat would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks again.

Seems like a fairly sensible list as far as pure(-ish) TK armies go. Is it really worth taking Ahriman, though? I'm not sure he's worth his points. He's no Eldrad.
If you do take him, do you need the Sorc? The gaps he fills can be plugged more efficiently by other units IMO (like two more Oblits). If you keep him, maybe consider a Disc for him so he can intercept units trying to charge your TKs. Plus, without a Disc, I don't see how he'll be able to make good use of WoC, if that's what you want.

Here is how I would field the army (not that you asked for it; I hope you don't mind!) if I had to include Ahriman.

 HQ
 -Ahriman

 Troops
 -9 TKs + 1 Sorc, BoC
 -9 TKs + 1 Sorc, Doombolt, Icon

 Heavy Support
 -2 Oblits
 -2 Oblits
 -1 Oblit

 1199 pts.

I like your list. The only reason I'm not jumping on having 5 Obliterators is that they're 22 fething dollars each. I'm probably going to convert from the Plastic Terminator kits.
The Sorceror and Ahriman are basically there as redundancies. They're acting as better versions of the Aspiring Sorcerors by backing them up with a BS 5 Bolt of Change and with an extra 4 attacks with a Force Weapon in CC.

I was considering a pair of Demon Princes with MoT, Wings, Warptime and Doombolt, but I figured that being Monstrous Creatures would just make them dead quicker, seeing as how the rest of the army is Slow and Purposeful and has no chance of keeping up with two that move as Jump Infantry. Would they be viable, or is it more of a YMMV situation with DPs?

I think the dual DPs would work well. They compete with the Oblits for things like lascannon shots and compete with the TKs for things like plasmagun shots. They may die, but if they do, it'll have been for a good cause. The speed difference is not that significant IMO; the TKs' job is to shoot and shoot and shoot, which they can do from 24" away, so does it matter that they can't keep pace with the DPs?

I think this list is good. The demon princes might be a better option, but Ahriman is much cooler.
