What unit sizes do Wood Elf units usually have? I'm trying to figure out
movement trays and am looking for some guidelines. Here's what I'm
thinking I'll need.

1-3 units of Glade Guard 10-12 wide, single rank
1-2 (freakin' 8 man boxes!) Glade Riders 5 wide, single rank
1 unit of Eternal Guard 6 wide, 4-5 ranks
1-2 units of Wild Riders 5-8 wide, single rank
1 unit of Treekin 3-4 wide, single rank

1-2 units of Wardancers, skirmish tray, 6-8 strong
1-2 units of Glade Guard Scouts, skirmish tray, 5 strong
3 units of Dryads, skirmish tray, 8 strong
1 unit of Warhawk Riders, skirmish tray, 4 strong

Thanks for any assistance.

You're pretty much spot on.

Glade Riders can also be converted to Wild Riders by removing bows and adding extra decoration, so those extra models can be handy. I actually really like the GR boxes, as it's not often that you can get enough models to make three units out of two GW boxed sets.

I wouldn't put more than 5-6 models in a fast cav unit (which includes both types of WE cav).

6 wide is good for EG. As are 5 and 7, depending on exact numbers.

Re: Treekin, I like ogre-sized models in either the minimum 3, or 3 wide with a 4th model in the back. That way you have twice as many models fighting if you get flanked, since he slides over.

I use just 3 Warhawks. They're kind of pricy. Bigger units of 9-12 Dryads are also quite good, though it's hard to go wrong with the minimum 8. Otherwise your unit sizes are good.

Skirmishers I don't personally bother with trays. I like flexibility in terms of positioning.
