I just wrote this list recently to test whether or not it would be viable for freindly sort of competitive games and still be reasonably sof ton the pocket. so heres what I plan to use.
1 damsel blista pack
1 grail knight champion on foot (converted to standard bearer)
1 Knights of the realm box
1 bretonnian batallion
this will come out to around $240-250 AUS and should be a good starting point.

1 Is there anything I could do to make the list more effective?

2 Thats just what I planned to use (but I only have 1 box of the knights and the grail knight champion so far) if there is room for improvement on unit selection I would also like to here it.

you don't really need a second damsel because its a bit overkill in terms of magic

The core of the list looks pretty solid. The only real recommendation I would make is to break apart the archers into two seperate units and to combine the two men at arms units into one block of 20. Ten soldier units do not generally work well in fantasy unless they are composed of elite troops.

I advocate either MSU men-at-arms or as many KE 6 man units as you can.

An effective hero and BSB have the equipment/vows/banners of increasing combat res so that when then join the KE in combat you're winning by 4 already.

I tried It against a dwaven player a coulple days ago and achieved a massacre result and found that the 2 10 man ment at arms squads could hold their own against a block of warriors but they slowly got whittled down and my lack of archer fire also caused problems so here's my new hopefully improved list. Ive taken a lot less points on my heroes to allow for more units
