Hello all!

My name is Jeanette and I play 40k with my brother, Vermghost (though he plays a lot more than me!)

Right now I am painting my Sisters of Battle army, and then I am going to learn how to play better. Verm is also putting together my Wood Elves so we can do Fantasy too.

I am very green, though I did play D&D at one point so I am a little familiar with the dice-rolling.

Here is a picture of my girls. I am starting on the detail for the rank&file since it's my biggest block. Verm did the Canoness on the right. Sorry about the lack of light. I am doing red gore robes with purple armor and mithril highlights, turning to gold for officers and higher-rank (higher the rank the more purple and gold).

I usually dont like purple and red together. You pulled it off I think. Also I think it looks very 'grim darkness imperium' looking, so very good.

Welcome to dakka, looking forward to seeing more of the army!

Well, with finals looming I had to put away my army so I'm not painting right now. But Verm and I are going to Sacto for a 1750 tourney on May 17th, so I have to get them done by then.

Thank you for the compliments. I did agonize about the color combination, but I think it's working out. I think I'm going to carry it even to my Saint but make her pastel. Have to have one that's really uber girlie looking yeah?

You aren't too far away, you both should come down for PolyCon here in San Luis Obispo in July. We'll have both a Fantasy and a 40k tournament.
