Starting a new army, I find myself reading more about skimmers and what they can and cannot do. My question is about entanglement. When a skimmer becomes immobilized, it crashes and the passengers become entangled. Under entanglement, the rules say that the squad is entangled after a crash. The only reference I found to a 'crash' was immobilized skimmers.

My question is does a wreck constitute a crash? For example, if a rhino becomes a wreck, do the passengers inside become entangled when disembarking?

I've been playing Chaos for a few years now and this never came up before in any of my past games. Thanks.

Pretty much any vehicle destroyed result (except Orks) will cause passengers to be entagled, regardless of how the vehicle was destroyed.

In 4th edition, whenever a vehicle is destroyed, any embarked passengers become entangled, with the exception of Ork Trukks (with their ramshackle rule).

The thing is, with skimmers if they moved over 6" in the previous turn if the vehicle is immobilized it crashes and is destroyed (which therefore causes the passengers to become entangled).

If the skimmer moved 6" or under in the previous movement phase then when it gets immobilized the passengers would not be entangled (as the vehicle would not be destroyed, just immobilized).

See the 'emergency disembarkation table' on the bottom of page 68 for the guidelines of when passengers are entangled.

See the 'Immobilised' damage rules on page 67 (2nd paragraph to be specific) for the rules about immobilized skimmers becoming wrecked.
