Total: 1000 exactly
Basic Strategy:
Originally i wanted 1500 points but after removing some useless units it came down to 1000 so i kept it. If you have any Ideas for the other 500 points please tell me.
Anyway, My Predator will hunt tanks while the Ravenwing squad hunts infantry. The first tactical squad while break into two squads as the plasma cannon stays back and snipes and the flamer goes up and assaults. The second Tactical squad is really just a response squad. The Dreadnought while shoot tough targets until it gets close enough assault along with the Company Master

For your other 500 points I recommend more marines, right now you have just above the bare minimum to play a game, 10 marines, and that won't fly as you start to increase the game size. Besides the composition issue, marines are an amazing basic infantry and there's no reason not to have lots of them.

One note on the predator: In my experience the annihilator with heavy bolter sponsons does not perform all that well. The two weapon systems are about as different as you can get and shooting at infantry means wasting the lascannon while anything above AV 11 wasted the heavy bolters. If you want a reasonably flexible tank that is capable of killing infantry when needed I'd take the Destructor (autocannon turret) with lascannon sponsons.

What's the Master for? At such a low points level and with so few line squads, I don't think Rites make enough of a difference for the price. He looks like 115 points of dead weight to me.

HB sponsons on the Pred don't make sense. I assume you want them as a back-up so you can kill some infantry when the LC gets destroyed, but they're rather expensive for that.

You have one proper AT weapon and it's on a tank. That won't cut it. (You may have a second one--but it's also on a vehicle.) If your opponent gets first turn and shakes your Pred (and Dread if you fit it for AT), what then? You forget about hurting his/her heavy tanks for the rest of the entire game, that's what. Get some LCs in there.

No specials in the bike squad?

Ok, let's start at the top.

You are better off with a Chaplain for 120 points. Even better if you can give him a Jump Pack.

Ven. Dreadnought (autocnon, mlti-mlta, asslt cnon, not sure) (145

Give him the assault cannon. This actually allows him to hunt light tanks or kill infantry.

Troops:
Tactical Squad+ 5 marines+ Plasma Cannon+ flamer (185
w/ Razorback (50

Tactical Squad+ Plasma gun (105
w/ Razorback (50

The first squad is illegal. You have to have 10 marines to take a heavy. In both cases, take 5 dudes with a Plasma Gun and a Razorback with Heavy Bolters. They come out at 155 each.

Fast Attack:
Atk Squad+ 3 bikes+ atk bike w/ hvy bltr (220

This whole squad is out of place. Your bikes will just die and an Attack bike is best equipped with a Multi-Melta as it has the speed to get within 12" for max effect. I'd suggest dropping the whole thing for a Dev squad with Missile Launchers or Lascannons.

Heavy Support:
Predator+ lascannon+ hvy bltr sponsons (130

This should be a Pred Destructor. It's 95 points and can kill both infantry and

A lot of your points seem off to me. Let me take a stab at a 1,000 point list using some of the above:

Chaplain - 145
- Jump Pack, Melta Bombs

1- Dreadnought - 145
- Assault Cannon, Venerable

5 - Tactical Squad - 105
- Plasma gun
1- Razorback - 50
- TL Heavy Bolter

5 - Tactical Squad - 105
- Plasma Gun
1 - Razorback - 50
- TL Heavy Bolter

5 - Tactical Squad - 105
- Plasma Gun
1 - Razorback - 50
- TL Heavy Bolter

5 - Devastator Squad - 150
- 3 x Missile Launcher

1 - Predator Destructor - 95
- Autocannon, 2 x Heavy Bolters

The biggest weakness of the above list is it doesn't really have much that can deal with AV 14. However, unless you play IG regularly I wouldn't expect to see much AV 14 in 1,000 points.

Hope that helps.

Actually that first squad wasn't illegal as the +5 marines means he takes the second set of marines to unlock the heavy weapons.

Hmm as for your original list, drop the pred and get a mulit melta on your attack bike and a TL lascannon on your dread as well as switching the plasma cannon to a lascannon, you don't need that for anti horde at 1000 pts. Also for tactics place your commander with the squad that only has 5 members and use the razorback to deliver them into the heart of the opponent. (would also advise giving the sarge a fist) and drop the plasma for a melta or a flamer. (you might also want to give the commander something other than a power sword. Like two lightning claws per se) That way you should have decent anti-tank and have both an assault part and a shooting part.

Hope that helps!

Oh ok, I see that now. That's why I organize the list the way I did in my post, "10 - Tactical Marines", much clearer.
