What is the best way to use Farsight Broadsides?
I was thinking a squad of two. To go with them in will be a Railhead and two Sniper Drone teams in 2000.
Since only Troop are scoring now, I was thinking instead of ASS I would take targetting array. Thing is if you use ASS you can hide them first turn, and you can also maybe move them a bit.
Then I was thinking I would take a leader and add two shield drones. The squad would also be in at least 4+ cover, or better if there was fire lanes.
Also, I was thinking of sticking an Ethereal in there to make them Fearless.
Thoughts?

Well, I would have three and give them all two shield drones. It may be expensive but nothing shoort of assault is going to knock them out. Then give the leader target lock so he can shoot at a seperate tank. Should see you tear apart a good amount of tanks. That and it gives you the best bang for your buck.

THey're not much different than a standard config. A pair of BASS with Team Leader, DC, and 2 shield drones. They'll be bonded.
Taking a third almost requires you to take a target lock since 3 railguns on a squad is overkill.
Depending on how shield drones work in 5th, one may be seeing more markerlight drones in place of the shield drones, but who knows how that works yet?

Well, the extra drones are essentially ablative wounds, and since you can give the team leader a hardwired target lock you have a unit that is incredibly survivable to shooting and reach out and touch two vehicles a turn.

It's an opinion of course, but I think 190 points is enough for a single unit. One should be running a rail head for the extra railgun.
Most Farsight lists will have enough missile pods for non-AV 14 vehicle punching.

You need those shield drones and stabilisers. You can only have one long range anti-tank team and 'must' take a battlesuit heavy list so are painted into a corner on anti tank choices.
You need to protect your broadsides and you need them mobile. So your hardware options are taken care of for you.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

What do you think of the Ethereal? Go, or no go.
Makes them too much of a priority target?
I think the best thing to do with an Ethereal is two full Fire Warrior squads side by side in cover. When the Ethereal squad gets down to a few models he switches squads.
Although that would probably make them lose their stand and shoot. They would be rapid fire only.

One can't take an Aun in a Farsight list which is what the OP is asking about.
