I am finalizing an Alpha Legion (Chaos Undivided) list for friendly play. Not real interested in princes. Fire away.

split the termie squads into two smaller units. you really don't want all of your eggs in one basket. also drop the havoc launchers off of the rhino's for extra armor. also the bikers are worthless for you at those points, except to drop in the termies.

since you don't already have full marine units in the rhino's, and your oblits plus the pred (which should buy sponson lascannons) give enough anti tank, you should drop the chosen to buy more marines for the basic rhino squads and pick up another meltagun each. then use all leftover pts to buy more bikers.

I have considered splitting the termies, if for no other reason than getting caught by a pie plate after deep striking.
The bikers are there primarily to bring in the terminators and hopefully pop a tank before dying gloriously.
I wasn't planning on riding in the Rhinos, but using them as mobile cover/cheap template weapon/target to dilute anti tank assets. With the upcoming 5th edition would I be wise to lose them all together (due to run) and get another pred?
I agree the chosen are a bit of a points sink, but if infiltrated in cover they are a threat that can't be ignored, and dilute fire from other units.

yes they will but the bikes are easy kills at this point and why depend on the one unit for deepstriking the termies when you could fit another exactly the same as your first bke unit. then you'd for sure have termies up in the opponents face and make a few good tank kills to boot

Are you suggesting losing the chosen, duplicating the bike squad and using the extra points to buff up the marine squads?

If you are going to take a Terminator Chaos Lord, take Abaddon or go home.

Terminators should have a real icon. Khorne for deep striking killy units, Nurgle or Tzeentch for stand off and fire units. Chaos Glory is for wimps.

Chosen should either be plasma gunners, CC killy for infiltrate, or a lascannon and nothing else (and just 5 guys) off in a corner.

If you don't run cult marines, you will not win games. Those are suckass troops for 5th.

What do the bikers do? Try and kill a tank, then get flattened?

Lose them and the predator and bring obliterators. They blow stuff up.
