I do not read a lot of 40k novels so this question could be easy to answer to someone who did. I ask because black holes are not mentioned in the codex or rulebook fluff. The Eye of Terror and the Mealstorm are no black holes but might be an equivalent in an "Event Horizon" kind of way, but are there any mentions of black holes in the novels like we know them?

That's an excellent point! Now that I think about it, I can't recall having read any mention anywhere, though admittedly I'm not all that well-read in 40K.

The WH40K novels don't mention tampons and ladies underwear either...some things you just have to assume are there
Plus, what would a black hole add to the general movement of 40K? I mean, its a quantum singularity, where nothing can escape its gravitaional pull.....to me, that would be like writing:
"Hello, welcome to another exciting installment of WH40K....ohh a black hole...the end"

Yeah well, what with all the plying of the spaceways that goes on in 40K and their books, it just might be relevant to something happening somewhere.

Well, as the 40k fluff "only" takes place in our galaxy, there is only one black hole possible from today's point of view: the one in the center of the galaxy. Any other one of notable size inside the galaxy would cause immense problems concerning physics (not that anyone cared about that one anyway, but you could take it as a reason for the lack of black holes in the stories )

I was just curious. i mean a lot of stuff is sucked into the warp but nothing into black holes. Of course because they do not play any significant role it does not mean they are not there. Well just curious.

Our own galaxy contains several probable stellar mass black holes. Of course its very difficult to determine because you cannot actually see a black hole, you can only see its effects on nearby stars. But, black holes + chaos demons = interesting plot (i think). Black holes dont mean instant death. You just need enough velocity and they are just as easy to orbit as Earth. And with the average technological level of the 40k races, I think hanging out around a black hole would not be too hard. And then we can say a chaos demon fell into a black hole once, and now it still exists there, reaching out into the galaxy trying to draw worshipers to it.
GW could stand to use more real science in 40k fluff, its just so amazingly awesome.

Maybe black holes are weak points where the warp come through? Could be or that they can easily find them and just leacve them well alone or maybe the warp bypasses them during warp flight and they dont do much.

They are mentioned in the Rogue Trader book. There is something about it being possible to manipulate them during warp travel if I remember correctly.

There's a wandering one in the Dark Heresy fluff that messes up things on a stellar scale every few hundred years and makes shipping difficult.

Yeah it would be sucky if a great crusades starts, only to be sucked down a black hole of doom.

One day the Space Emperor saw that there were "Big Black Holes in Space". They were Big, Black, and so powerful that they smashed things into quantum singularities. Seeing this power, the Space Emperer used his great and mighty Space Powers to take the Big Black Holes in Space and made black paint out of them, so that he could paint all his Space Armies this color and make them powerful. This is where Black Marines, Marines in Black, the Other Black Marines, Black Ships, etc., come from. But not black marines.

There is mention of a "redhole" out on the eastern fringes
Spatial Anomaly Hadex
This "Red Hole" known as Hadex is uncategorisable and possibly even sentient. It is believed that it constantly spews time from other dimensions into the southern spiral arm of our own galaxy, thereby distorting all attempts to to monitor or control it. The outer rim of Hadex is dotted with ghost ships, trapped in a kind of stasis from which there can be no release.
