So this is a really stupid question but I'm not clear on it so.....
Aside from doubling the strength of a weapon, does a power weapon do anything special against a vehicle??? I know they normally ignore armor, but does this have any carry over against vehicles. Sorry for the stupid question :S

Only powerfists double strength.
Powerweapons have no specific benefit against vehicles. Their ability to ignore armour saves does not apply to vehicle armour.

Power Weapons DO NOT double the strength of a weapon (whatever that means?) - only Thunder hammers or Power fists/claws double the MODEL's basic strength for attacks. Power weapons are simply melee weapons that ignore armour saves - they strike at the model's strength (bonuses do count here.). They have no special advantages against vehicles.

My bad, I was kinda thinking in terms of powerklaws. So power weapons are no more useful against vehicle than normal weapons, even though they are supposed to cut through armor like butter?

Yep, you still need to push the weapon through the armour. Personal armour tends to be a lot thinner than vehicle armour.
Think back to Star Wars Ep1 with Qui-gonn cutting through the bridge doors with his lightsabre. Then they up-armoured the doors by closing the 'blast doors'.
Essentially, this is the difference.

And Orks are able to crush the skull of a man in his hand. Yet, his strength is that of a Guardsman when standing still.
See a lot of Guardsmen crushing skulls?
Its just fluff and it doesn't always translate into rules.

I don't know, Steelmage99. Those Catachans look pretty beefy to me.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
