I used the search and I don't think this topic has been addressed, my apologies if it has.

Is Morghor even possible to use legally?

So let's say you put Morghor in a list. That means only units from the Beast of Chaos codex may be allowed in the army list.

Well, the Beast of Chaos list has Beast units, special units and rare units. Specials and rares are what they are, respectively, but Beast units are only Core if the general is a Beast. Unfortunately, a list which contains Morghor has no general (resulting in the classic Can Morghor's Army Ambush argument).

So you cannot have both Morghor and Core units in the same list? Am I reading this right?

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Spreading the word of the Turtle Pie

i dont have the book but by the sounds of it RAW says no.

However, if you tell someone that their army lead by morghor is illegal just cos he's there then I imagine they'd get pretty pissed off.

Smells like a dice off moment! 1-3 you don't get to use your army, 4-6 you do ...

Yay GW!

Ugh...

40K used to lead the company in screwed up rules and army lists, but recently it looks as if WFB is getting a bit out of hand.

I'd point those who say Morghur lists are not legal to the GW site itself and the sample Morghur lists...

No. You are not.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

I concur with you Buckethead, I've got a Morghor list of my own. I'm just wondering if there's a way to square it with RAW.

.................................... Searching for Iscandar

He's the general but does not count as one.

Hope that helps.
