Shas'o Kar'pey swiftly led his warriors out of thier orca dropship. His men took position on the battlefeild. The firewarriors anxiously awaited visual confirmation of the enemy. They were to eliminate the blood angel recognisance force. Then they heard the roar of an imperial engine. The blood angels were here. The firewarriors lifted thier pulse rifles.
So tonight i faced a blood angel army at 1000 pts a side

His list went something like this:
10 death company -w- chaplin -w- jump pack
5 marines -w- missile launcher and plasma gun
5 marines -w- flamer
5 devastator -w- 2 lascannons and 2 missile launchers
5 devastators -w- 3 multi-meltas and rhino
We were on a 4x4 table with 3 barricades, a hill, 2 damaged buildings (small), 1 damaged building (large), and a forest.
By the time the terrain was set up there was 2 barricades on the left in my deployment zone, ane slightly to the right just outside of my deployment zone, the hill was right in the middle of the map, the large ruined building building was in the left of his deployment zone, the two small ruined buildings were lined up on the left side right in front of one of my barricades, and the forest was to the far right just beyond my deployment zone.

So that was the setup...
I had to deploy first and chose to put my broadsides in the barricades to the left of my deployment zone... He put the
dev squad with the las and missile in the ruins at the top corner of his deployment zone... I put my sniper drone team in the center on the barricade to the right of my deployment zone... He put the devastators in the rhino beside the ruined building at the top corner of his deployment zone... I put my first firewarrior squad to the left of my sniper drone team behind the barricade on the right of my deployment zone... he placed his
tac squad with the missile and plasma atop the farthest ruins to the top left of the board... I placed my second firewarrior squad to the right of my sniper drone squad... he placed his second tactical squad with the flamer to the left of the ruins his first
tac squad was atop... I put my commander behind my broadsides... He put his death company squad behind the hill... i placed my first crisis team just out of range to get cover from the barricade to the right... I put my second crisis squad behind my firewarriors and sniper drone team... I placed my final crisis team behind my broadsides ...
Now that every model was placed the battle commenced...
Turn 1- he got first turn... he moved his rhino up to the forset with a turbo-charged move... moved his death company so they were right up against the hill... moved the tactical squad with the flamer forward... everything else stayed static...
In his shooting phase he immeadiately shot his two lascannons at my crisis squad just out of the cover save and instant-killed

... that was it for shooting...
I jumped all my crisis suits over the barriers without any wounds... that was it for moving
In my shooting phase the first order of buisness was using the networked markerlight to light up the
tac squad with the flamer... the sniper drones and crisis suits who could see that
tac squad fired killing 2...
My crisis team on the right lost a wound jumping back behind the barricade...
Turn 2- he moved his death company behind the close ruined building as did his
tac squad with the flamer... his
devs in the rhino hopped out into the woods... that was his movement phase...
he shot the
dev squad in the woods at the firewarriors to no effect... popped a frag missile into the other squad of firewarriors, also to no effect...
I jumped all my crisis suits over the barricades, and lost a wound on the left crisis squad...
I shot the networked markerlight at the death company and after a combined fire killed all but one death company marine and the chaplin (i eliminated the flamer
tac squad too...)...
I jumped the crisis suits back behind the barricades...
Turn 3- he loaded his
devs with the meltas back into his rhino and drove his rhino right behind the far right barricade... he charges his death company at my broadsides... and moved his las/missile
dev squad out of the cover towards my barricades...
He shot his missile launcher (krak) at my right crisis squad killing the one wounded suit... that was his ahooting phase...
he assaulted my broadsides and in a barrage of passed invuln saves took down one drone... The broadsides held...
I moved my commander towards my sniper drone team and firewarriors... I moved my crisis squad behind my broadsides up towards his
tac squad with the missile...
I shot down his rhino, killing one of his devastators, with my lone crisis...
My broadsides managed not to lose even a drone this turn, almost causing one themselves (ugh i hate fell no pain!)...
Turn 4- he did no moving...
he shot his lascannons and missiles from his
dev squad at my firewarriors causing two wounds... He shot his missile from his remaining
tac squad at my crisis team advancing on them causing no wounds...
He managed to kill one broadside and the remaining shield drone... and the broadside stood firm!!(why didn't he run? if it was me i woulda!)
Due to time constraints the battle ended then with exactly 650 pts left aside (an exact draw?!?!)...
It was a fun game and i think i finally have found a list i will stick with (for now at least)...
